The I Believe Bunny Book Review

Posted by Jenna | Tuesday, June 30, 2009

I was introduced to the new series of books, The I Believe Bunny, by Thomas Nelson Publishers. I am so thankful I had the opportunity to review one of these books that teaches children how to put their Faith into action. It delivers a sweet story, as well as a message that teaches nothing is impossible for God and no matter how little we may be, He can do big things through us! This message of Faith and the Power of Prayer is a wonderful encouragement to anyone reading this story...young and old alike!

The moment I opened this book I was impressed. It begins with a scripture that relates to the story you are about to read. As I read it with my 20 month old daughter, I found the pictures to be captivating and ones that truly made the story come to life. The author uses a rhyming tone that makes the story flow well and something a child can listen to and enjoy quite easily. Kaelyn just loved this story and I forsee her enjoying it for many years to come!

The publishers recommend this book for ages 4-8, but in my opinion a child is never to young to share God's Word or the joy of reading! I would recommend this book to anyone with children...it's one you'll find yourself reading many times throughout the years!!

Creativity For Kids Review and Giveaway

Posted by Jenna | Monday, June 29, 2009

I am always looking for new and fun things Kaelyn and I can do together that encourage learning and creativity. I think a bit of this comes from my past work as a Preschool Teacher....but more than anything...like any parent, I just enjoy seeing her learn and having fun while she's doing it! Although young, she is learning constantly. Whether it be through the books she reads, the children programs she watches, or interaction with kids and adults...I can always see that she's learning something new! It's one of the most amazing things to witness as a parent!

I was recently given the opportunity to review one of the craft kits from Creativity For Kids and was thrilled to do so! Their mission as found on their website is: To provide children with experiences that stimulate and encourage their natural creativity. Our open-ended products offer fun-filled opportunities for children to create, pretend, explore and learn! I found this statement to be very true of their products as we reviewed the Make Your Own Animal Puppets kit. I liked how the kit made it possible for kids to be creative. There wasn't a specific way you had to do something....in fact, there weren't even directions. It gives children the opportunity create and explore in a way which is meaningful to them.

The Make Your Own Animal Puppets kit comes with three socks (to be made into animal puppets). There were also felt shapes, fur, pom poms, yarn, and wiggly eyes as well. Using these materials....a child can create any animal they want. They show examples on the box of a shark, cow, pig, etc....but the choices are endless with a little imagination! This kit is made for children 3 years of age and older because of the small parts. I found that although Kaelyn is younger than that...she still enjoyed it immensely...with adult supervision of course since there are small parts! It was a great sensory and fine motor experience for her....and a wonderful opportunity for her to become more familiar with different animals and colors as well! We had so much fun! Another great thing about this kit was that no glue was needed! It wasn't messy at all....so clean up was a breeze!

If you're looking for fun and creative activities to do with your children...Creativity For Kids would be a great place to start! You can check out their fantastic products on their website, and can even purchase them there. There's also a handy store locator on their site as well.

Having never heard of it before, I wasn't quite sure what to expect when I had the opportunity to review Mom Needs Chocolate: Hugs, Humor, and Hope For Surviving Motherhood, but once I received it I haven't been able to put it down! This book/devotional is packed full of humor, biblical insight and more! Each devotion is 3-4 pages and covers many aspects of a mother's life...pregnancy, children, marriage and more! Author, Debora M. Coty begins each with a heartwarming story and applies scripture to real life situations! She then ends it with a prayer and questions for personal devotion and reflection. I love that I can SO relate to much of what is written in this book and enjoyed the humor this author has added. It is very easy reading and perfect for the busy moms out there! I thoroughly enjoyed it and plan on giving it to many of the mom's I know!

Here's the book's description as found on the back cover of Mom Needs Chocolate:

"Your spirit yearns to soar, but your feet---and faith---are stuck in the diaper-by-diaper mud of everyday responsibilities. How can you de-muck when you're chronically exhausted and relentlessly robbed of abundant life by the joy-sucking dully-funks? Mom Needs Chocolate will help you get back in touch with rejuvenating joy and empowering faith! In mom-to-mom, smile-eliciting style, humorist Debora Coty paints her offbeat picture of reality with a tangy twist, and offers outrageous coping tips, off-the-wall insights, sisterly hugs, and warm encouragement. With witty frankness and wild abandon, she tackles the highs and lows (and mediums) of marriage, the horror of embarrassing children, the defeat of depression, aging gracefully, and a veritable grocery list of other mud-between-your-toes issues. You will glimpse the all-too-familiar in these hilarious and heartwarming stories, and remember how to hear God's still, small voice above blathering kids, howling pets and snarling traffic!"

A Thousand Words Thursday

Posted by Jenna | Thursday, June 25, 2009

Cheaper Than Therapy
Isn't it neat the little things that make a child happy and grab their interest?! This is Kaelyn at her Grandpa's house last weekend! She so enjoyed seeing a REAL baby piggy in person....an animal we've only read and talked about up until now. She was on top of the world at this moment!! It's the small things in life that make you happy...isn't that the truth!! It made my day just watching her interact with this little pig and seeing the joy on her little face while she did!

Visit Cheaper Than Therapy for more Thousand Words Thursday entries!

The Exergen TemporalScanner Thermometer Giveaway will end tomorrow night, June 25th! Hurry for your chance to win one of these great thermometers! They are perfect for use on yourself or you little one!

Also...don't forget to checkout the other giveaways I have going on and keep your eye out for more great giveaways to come very soon!

From the time Kaelyn was very young she's always enjoyed looking at books. As she gets older and adds more words and phrases to her vocabulary, it's become an even more fun hobby for her. We find her often sitting down looking at her books...especially those which include animals of all kinds! She LOVES animals! She likes to say the animals names, make the animal sounds and learn more about them. That's why I was thrilled to have the chance to review Jungle Jack's The Wackiest, Wildest, and Weirdest Animals in the World book from Thomas Nelson Publishers!

The minute I got it in the mail, Kaelyn snatched it from my hands and began flipping through the pages. We sat down together and read through many of the pages. We both loved the large, brightly colored pages and all of the information provided about each animal. The little tid bits given about each animal were both humerous and informative. The fact that it's a hardcover book is also appreciated. With a toddler this is a must! One of the best features about this book was the DVD it comes with. It features bloopers from Jack Hanna's show, Jack Hanna Into The Wild and others too.

After having had the chance to review this book, I can tell you that it's definitely one people of all ages would love. I would recommend checking it out if you have an animal lover in your family!

In those beginning first weeks and months after having a baby, parents are no-doubt sleep deprived...making it difficult to remember those day to day things. This is how I was after the birth of our daughter Kaelyn. I remember wondering how I went from being an organized person to one who could barely remember how many hours it had been since Kaelyn last ate. With our second baby coming this Fall, I knew I had to plan ahead and get all the necessary tools to help stay on top of things as much as possible. With a toddler in the house too...I imagine this could be even more difficult than it was the first time around!

I was happy to have had the opportunity to review an Itzbeen and admit that being able to see and use it has really put my mind at ease about being able to stay organized once this second baby comes. I had heard of the Itzbeen before, but didn't know a lot about it. After receiving it in the mail, I realized that it's a MUST-HAVE for all Momma's and I can't believe I didn't have one with Kaelyn. How much easier life would have been!

The Itzbeen Baby Care Timer was developed by a new Mom and Dad who found themselves needing an easy solution to help them remember baby care details such as diaper changes, feedings, sleep schedules, etc. It has four easy timers that display the elapsed time since these things were completed! It can easily be reset by the push of a button when you're ready to start keeping track all over again. There's even a nursing reminder for those who breastfeed...left or right. I remember with Kaelyn NEVER being able to remember which side we ended on, so this will be wonderful with our next baby! This amazing little timer can even be used as an alarm to remind you when the next feeding needs to take place, etc! An alarm will briefly sound after the time limit you set has been reached if desired! How great is that?!?

Now, my first thought before receiving the Itzbeen was that it would be a tool used in the beginning months, but then would probably get put on the shelf until our next baby is born. However....after having reviewed this product, I can tell you that we've already begun to use it. How you ask? Well....the Itzbeen can be used for absolutely anything! I find it useful during this time of potty training Kaelyn. We are just in the beginning stages which means having to remember to take her to the potty often. I have found that that this useful little timer helps us do just that!! It would also be great for parents who need to remember to give their child a medication or keep track of how long it's been since they had their last dose. Also...any babysitter would love to have something like this left for them when watching smaller children. Whether it be to help remind them of feedings, diapering, sleep schedules or something else...it would make things much easier I'm sure!

The Itzbeen is small enough to fit in the palm of your hand, has a backlight and slow glow nightlight making it easier for you to use it in the dark, and best of all has a clip which makes it easy to take with you wherever you go! This is a must for any new parent...whether this is your first or sixth child!

As you can see, there are many uses for the Itzbeen...I've only begun using it and am sure I will come up with many more ways to use it as time goes on. I can't wait to use it with our little one when he/she arrives!!

Buy It: The Itzbeen can be found in many stores and online stores! A list of places can be found here.

I am always up for trying new healthy foods and drinks for my family. I was recently introduced to a new on-the-go fruit snack called Fruit2day and was very pleased! Fruit2day is one of the newest ways for people to eat fruit. They are packaged in a convenient 6.5oz bottle that you can easily grab wherever you are. What's great is that it's made with real fruit bits and is only 120 calories....not to mention that each offers 2 full servings of fruit!!!

It's a very unique concept...having 100% fruit juice and real fruit bits all in one. I wasn't sure how I'd like it, but after one sip can tell you that it's delicious! My husband and daughter loved it as well!! What I liked best was knowing it was a healthy snack choice for my family. This all natural, no sugar added product is one I would choose any day. I'm so happy to have had the chance to learn more about it and try it for myself!

I would recommend anyone looking to learn more about Fruit2Day, visit their website here!

When we had Kaelyn there was never a doubt in my mind that we would use disposable diapers.
I figured they'd be easier and more convenient. The thing I didn't fully realize is how expensive they are! Yikes!! After learning that we have a second baby on the way a few months back....I am now considering switching to cloth diapers for the both of them. Hopefully Kaelyn will be potty trained shortly after the baby arrives, but either way...I'd rather save money in the long run and use cloth diapers I think. Saying goodbye to disposables is also much better for our environment!

As I began my search for the best option for us, I came across AppleCheeks! I was thrilled to have the opportunity to review one and can say that I was definitely impressed! They are functional, great fitting, and effective...all the things a parent looks for in a diaper! I really liked that there was elastic at the back AND at the tummy too. This helps to keep in everything and prevents blowouts. It was something I hadn't seen on other cloth diapers I've looked at. Another thing I really appreciated was that they only have two sizes (size 1 fits 7-20 lbs and size 2 fits 18-40 pounds). This means that they fit WAY better than a one-size diaper and it helps to save you money because you're not spending on a multiple-sized system! The snaps were wonderful as well. They ensure that the diaper is going to stay on and fit snuggly....even when those little ones try to take their diaper off!

They offer 10 great colors to choose from, as well as all natural inserts that absorb much better than the alternatives in cotton or microfibre. These inserts easily fall out in the wash because of the perfectly placed pocket opening in the cover. This means you don't have to unstuff a soiled diaper! You have a choice whether or not you want to use the inserts inside the pocket of the cover or on top of it. I think both options have their benefits....putting it inside helps to keep moisture away from your child's skin, while putting it on top of the pocket makes it possible to use the cover again before washing.

The best part about AppleCheeks, besides their great diapers, are the resources offered on their website and their amazing customer service. For those of us just starting out with cloth diapers, having information on care instructions, video tutorials, FAQ's, and a way to contact the company for more information is a must!

Buy It: You can purchase AppleCheeks reusable diapers worldwide at these locations!

How To Enter To Win: AppleCheeks has generously offered one of my readers their very own AppleCheeks cloth diaper! To enter, all you have to do is visit the AppleCheeks website and let me know which color you would choose.

Baggino Learner's Bib Review and Giveaway

Posted by Jenna | Thursday, June 18, 2009

When Kaelyn first began feeding herself I remember the messes! I knew that messes come with learning to feed yourself and that she needed to do it on her own to learn how though. We went through so many bibs in a day....and never really did find one that worked very well. It was almost easier to have her shirt off each time she ate. Even now at nearly 20 months...she can easily feed herself, but while still mastering the fork and spoon...we have our share of messes and need for a good bib. That's why I was happy to have the opportunity to review the Baggino Learner's Bib.

Seriously...I have never seen anything like the Baggino Learner's Bib! Not only is it extra-long in the front for coverage where it is needed the most, but it also has long sleeves! GENIUS! It's perfect for babies who are learning to feed themselves for the first time, and great for toddlers who are starting to feed themselves with silverware. Kaelyn typically tries to take her bibs off the minute I put them on...but she didn't seem to mind this one at all. It seemed comfortable for her to wear and was SO easy to put on and take off. It has a velcro closure in the back which would work well if she ever were to try and take it off. I think the thing I liked best about it was the soft cotton terry material used. It washes up so nicely and I can tell it will last us a very long time! Having used this just a few times already with Kaelyn...I can tell you that the plan is to definitely get more in the near future...especially with our second baby on the way!

Not only does this bib work wonderful while a child is eating...but it would also be ideal as an art smock as well. It covers the areas that you would want to stay clean and fits so well! I'm actually considering buying some just to be used as art smocks for our kids.

Buy It: You can buy the Baggino Learner's Bib for $12.50. And, until June 20th they're offering free shipping when you use the promotional code "FREE SHIPPING" when placing your order!

How To Enter To Win: I'm super excited, because Baggino has offered one of my readers a Baggino Learner's Bib!! To enter, all you have to do is visit the Baggino website and let me know another product they carry! They offer some great things!

When Kaelyn was younger and just starting solid foods...I remember being a nervous wreck. As a first time parent I wanted to make sure that I was giving her the nutritious foods she needed, and also preparing them the right way. I was frustrated with searching around and finding information about this topic all over the place, but not much that was laid out in a user-friendly manner. I sure wish I would have had The Baby Bistro Box for 0-12 months at that time....it would have made life much easier and less stressful...as it offers all the information a parent needs right in one little box. I was thrilled to have the opportunity to review this product!! I know that by the time this second baby arrives I will need a refresher and am very excited to have this box to use with him/her. I think it's so great to have a product started by a family who knew that parents were in need of a resource like this!

After having the opportunity to check this product out first hand, I can tell you that it's a must have for all mom's with young children! It's not only thoughtfully laid out and easy to use, but also offers a wealth of information that helps you to give your baby the best start in life. It's literally a complete guide to healthy feeding for your baby! It covers much more than recipes...it includes information on breastfeeding, serving sizes, foods to feed babies at what age, safety and more!

The cards are conveniently divided into the following 8 sections, making it easier for you to find exactly what it is you're looking for:

  • Starters
  • First Course
  • Entrees 0-4 Months
  • Entrees 4-6 Months
  • Entrees 6-8 Months
  • Entrees 8-12 Months
  • A La Carte
  • Deserts

If you're a parent with a baby, or looking for a great baby shower gift....The Baby Bistro Box would be perfect! If you have a child who is more the toddler age, they also have The Toddler Bistro Box for 1-3 years which is packed full of useful recipes and more! I do not have it yet, but plan on getting it as it would be very useful to have with Kaelyn.

The Baby Bistro Brands products can be ordered right on their website, and also found in many locations throughout the US. You'll also find a lot of helpful information on the Baby Bistro website as well...everything from baby fun, food allergies, food safety, etc.

Also....you can sign up at the Baby Bistro Brands website for their free monthly newsletter featuring current nutritional information and recipes (a $35 annual value)! Follow Baby Bistro Brands on Twitter too!

Grilling Tips

Posted by Jenna | Wednesday, June 17, 2009

It's summer time and that means more quality time with family spent outdoors! I have to say that's probably my favorite thing about summer. I love the warm weather and spending time outdoors grilling with the family. Recently I actually happened to come across some great BBQ tips from National Champion Pit Master Mike Davis, a smokin' master, that I thought would be worth passing along to all those who love grilling and being outdoors as much as I do this time of year:

Mike's BBQ Tips

* When cooking larger cuts of meat, always use an indirect heat as a source. Using the direct heat method will char the outside of the meat without allowing the inside to cook properly.
* When grilling, use a "smoker" box of aromatic hardwoods such as mesquite, hickory or pecan to give that distinctive wood smoked flavor.
* Use olive oil or any other cooking oil to coat the surface of vegetables to add crispness and to hold on spices and seasonings.
* Using a spray or baste during cooking will help keep the meat moist and flavorful and will help to keep the meat from drying out during the cooking process.
* A mustard slather can be used to thoroughly coat the meat to help hold spices and seasonings in place during preparation.
* Pay careful attention to pork and poultry when grilling, you must make sure both meats are properly cooked through.
* Always grill in a well ventilated area, away from eaves and overhangs that can trap toxic fumes.
* Just like I prepare for my competitions, frequent heartburn sufferers should come prepared to enjoy the foods you love and start your 14-day course of Prilosec OTC in advance of your BBQ event.

Who doesn't like to save money, right?! I know I do. Whenever I can, I search for the best deals and coupons on everything we buy. I like to pass on any money saving tips or sites I come across...and recently there was one worth noting. The Coupon Trunk is a site which may serve as a valuable resource to many of you! It offers updates daily with the most recent discount offers and promo codes. I was impressed to find a variety of categories covered, as well as stores like Walmart, Amazon, and Overstock just to name a few. I think my favorite aspect about this site though, besides the obvious wealth of information offered, was the professional way it is laid out while still giving a personal blog-like feel with all kinds of resources for those looking to save money while shopping for Father's Day gifts, baby supplies and more! I would urge anyone who has never checked out this site to head over there when you get a chance. It's a fantastic resource that I'm very happy to have had the chance to learn more about.

Commenter #114 Marin Says: "Subscriber"

The one thing I recognized in myself the most after having our daughter was how unorganized I became. It was such a huge change in our lives...I had a hard time staying on top of things. That included keeping track of diaper changes, sleep patterns, and even feedings. It's a lot to keep track of, especially with a new baby as well as all of the visitors you have in those first few weeks. As I began thinking about the birth of our second baby this Fall, I can't help but wonder if the organization issue will be even more difficult with a toddler to care for as well. In my search to make things easier in those first few months, I came across Aunt LaLa's Log.

I was really excited to have the opportunity to review one and I can tell you these durable little journals are amazing! This hard-bound log was created by two sisters who understood the need for something easy to use that would help them stay organized. It's perfect for new parents who are facing the many diaper changes and feedings of a newborn. They even have one for parents of twins too! How great is that?! It would make a terrific baby shower gift! What I liked best was the layout. The beginning few pages offer general information on how to use the log as well as info about the baby and growth charts. The rest is compiled of pages which allow for new parents to keep track of diapers (pee, poo), sleep patterns, feedings (left or right if you breastfeed), as well as miscellaneous information. I love the organization this allows and wish I had it when Kaelyn was born. I am so excited now though to havefor this second baby.

God's Little Princess Devotional Bible Review

Posted by Jenna | Friday, June 12, 2009

I was thankful to have had the chance to review God's Little Princess Devotional Bible from Thomas Nelson Publishers. I wasn't sure what to expect, but at the same time was very excited to get it in the mail and check it out. My first thought was how durable it was and how beautiful the front cover was with all of the jewels. What little girl wouldn't be drawn to this book?! I know I was...and I'm an adult!

Although the appearance was perfect...I know that the contents inside are what is most important, so I quickly opened it up and began reading. Not far into it I realized how great this book would be for little girls, and was something I wish I had as a young girl. Although the pages were quite colorful, there were no pictures and I felt the contents were definitely geared towards preschool age and older as the publishers suggest. I really enjoyed the Bible Stories though, and the reflective activities available to do with your daughter after you're done reading. It was neat how God's Word was entwined with little tips on how to handle day to day life in a way that's meaningful to young children. Overall I really thought this was a very good Devotional Bible and appreciated the message it gives young girls about knowing who you are in the Lord and not letting anyone take that from you, and being able to teach young ones that what's important is what's on the inside.

Here is the book description right off the back cover. I thought it was well worded and really captures what this book is about and what it covers:

"Little girls long to be loved, adored, and needed, and to give their hearts to a hero! God is that hero. This devotional Bible for young girls uses Scripture selections from the International Children's Bible alongside articles that help girls blossom into the princesses they were always meant to be. Virtues to create true beauty, such as honor, charity, compassion, sharing, truth, fairness and more are highlighted throughout the book in fun and engaging ways. This Bible will help little girls learn about their destiny as a daughter of God and a true princess."

Taking a baby or toddler's temperature is no fun! When they don't feel well, the last thing they want is to lay still while we wait for a reading on the thermometer. The worse part is that most of the thermometers we have tried are not accurate and take forever to use. I have been in search for something that will work better and more easily for us, especially with a second baby on the way...and was thrilled to have the opportunity to review the Exergen TemporalScanner Thermometer!!

This is the first of it's kind because of the infrared thermometer that actually reads the body's temperature from the temporal artery. I think it's so neat that the body's temperature can be taken this way. It's noninvasive and so easy! After 2-3 seconds you have an accurate reading every time. I have to admit that at first I wondered if this could possibly be true...I mean, is there really an easy way to take a temperature and after only a couple of seconds get an accurate reading?! Well...now I know that there is. The Exergen TemporalScanner is amazing! It is truly the fastest and most accurate way to measure body temperature. It's the only thermometer made in the US and is safer for our environment as it doesn't contain mercury, but uses infrared technology instead. Just one more reason why I think this product is so great.

Using the TemporalScanner is so easy! All you have to do is place the probe on the forehead, hold down the button and slide over to the hairline. At which point you can release the button and read the temperature. Kaelyn usually doesn't like to have her temperature taken, but using this one was a breeze. She sat very still and was curious as to what we were doing. In fact, after we were done...she was trying to run it across her forehead and do it herself!

After using this product, I can tell you that I don't plan on using any other thermometer again. No more messing with ear thermometers that are so hard to get the placement correct, or taking the temperature orally or under the arm...both ways having temperatures that often vary due to other factors like drinking fluids before hand or the amount of clothing you are wearing.

I would recommend this thermometer to anyone, with or without children. It's easy to use and accurate...what more could you ask for when it comes to taking your temperature when not feeling well?! The best part is, you can purchase it at many stores and online retailers. It is something you can buy for yourself or someone else...it would make a terrific baby shower gift!

How To Enter To Win:
What's great is that the generous people from Exergen have offered one of my readers their very own Exergen TemporalScanner!! All you have to do is visit Exergen and come back leaving me a comment letting me know one of the stores/online stores at which it can be purchased.

Most parents know that traveling with a toddler in the backseat can be rather difficult at times. They are active and want to be kept busy. I know that's how Kaelyn is. If we're headed somewhere for a long trip, we make sure to have snacks in the car for her and things to keep her occupied. The problem we were having though....was that she would get frustrated if she dropped whatever it is she was playing with or eating. That's when I went searching and came across Star Kids Snack and Play Travel Tray.

I was thrilled when Alyson from Star Kids sent me one to review! Although I knew I'd really like this product, I didn't realize how great it would be....it far exceeded my expectations! Not only is it a safe solution to a flat surface on a car seat, but also a stroller! It's very soft and made from impact collapsing foam which means it is safe and will not hurt your child, even if you would happen to get in a car accident. It is also very easy to attach and solves the problem of Kaelyn dropping everything on the floor and getting upset, with it's handy rim which holds everything in! Now she can eat and play with ease in the car. The convenient mesh pocket on each side makes it easy to store things and keep them within reach for your child. I also found that the sturdy nylon fabric makes messes easy to clean up!

The Snack and Play Travel Tray helps to keep her busy and allows for her to do fun things more easily....like read books, color, etc. If you're looking for something to solve similar issues when traveling, I would definitely recommend checking into this product! We just love it!

To Buy: You can purchase the Snack and Play Travel Tray at many retail stores and online retailers....all of which can be found here.

100 Bible Stories, 100 Bible Songs Review

Posted by Jenna | Thursday, June 04, 2009

It’s very important to Scott and I that we share the joy and wonder of the Lord and His Word with our children. Our daughter Kaelyn is 19 months old and although young, has already been exposed to a number of things to help shape her understanding of God. Whether it be the music she listens to, the television shows she watches or the things we talk about...we are always doing our best to instill in her these values and beliefs. Her favorite book is actually her Bible, or “bibi” in her words. Even at such a young age she enjoys learning and hearing the stories of the Bible.

That’s why I was SO excited to have had the opportunity to receive a copy of 100 Bible Stories, 100 Bible Songs from Thomas Nelson Publishers to review! I knew that as much as she loves her Bible…she’d adore this and all it has to offer....and I was right! It includes 100 Bible Stories that are introduced in a kid-friendly way as well as two CD's filled with 100 Bible Songs...all of which are very catchy!

What I think is so great about 100 Bible Stories, 100 Bible Songs is the way it was made. I appreciate having a kid-friendly way to introduce our children to the Bible in a way that's meaningful to them. I really liked the way it was laid out. Each story references the chapter and verses from the Bible, and has a one-sentence summary from the passage as well as an application statement. What a wonderful way to introduce your little one to scripture and application! I really look forward to spending many hours with our daughter, reading these stories and singing the songs together. Kaelyn especially loved the colorful illustrations that went along with each story! Although the publishers recommend this Bible Storybook for preschool age children, I think it was great even for my one year old! She enjoys every minute of reading the stories and listening to the songs... it's never too early to share the Word of God with your children!

When Kaelyn first began wearing shoes, I remember the most important thing for me was that they were comfortable for her. Yes...I wanted them to look cute...but the priority was that they fit how they were supposed to and didn't hurt her feet. As she gets older I still think this is very important. Who would want to wear uncomfortable shoes when all you're doing is walking and running around all day, right?!

That's why I was so thankful to come across Jack and Lily and the adorable, high quality baby/toddler shoes they offer! Inspired by the baby's sense of touch...Jack and Lily has a variety of durable, slip-resistant shoes that support a child's development with their soft soles. I greatly appreciate their dedication to quality and helping babies discover and explore the world around them!

I was thrilled to have the chance to review a pair of Jack and Lily shoes for Kaelyn! I wish I had known about Jack and Lily from the beginning. They truly live up to all the great things that are said about them. Their high quality leather is amazing and they're incredibly soft as well! I was amazed at how light they were...perfect for the pre-walker or even experienced walker. Kaelyn just loved them. We received the Sport/Pink Shoes....aren't they absolutely adorable?!! They are available in sizes from 0-6 months up to 3 years! Typically Kaelyn is all about trying to take off her shoes, so the fact that these had velcro made me a little nervous. She hasn't tried to take them off once though...she really enjoys wearing them...I'm sure because they are comfortable and light-weight!

A few of the features they offer which I thought were really great are:
• A true soft-sole shoe that can be used Indoor and Outdoor
• Non-toxic, breathable, premium 100% cowhide leather
• Soft, flexible and skid resistant TPR sole
• Genuine suede lining
• 3mm cushioned soles and cushioned ankle protection
• Ultra-light and flexible providing ultimate comfort
• Velcro makes it easy to put on and stay securely in place
• Perfect for pre and new walkers
• Recommended by Podiatrists

I really thought these were cute from their Original Collection too! Maybe if we have a boy this next time.....

Buy It:
You can purchase Jack and Lily baby shoes right there on their website! You can also use their store locator to find a store near you that carries them as well! They would make a perfect baby shower gift as well with their super cute, award-winning keepsake box that they come in!
