*I participated in a Blogger Activation on behalf of Mom Central Consulting (#MC) for Cardstore.com. I received complimentary cards and a promotional item as a thank you for participating.

Although I think it's important to do sweet things for my loved ones often throughout the year, Valentine's Day is an especially fun and popular time to do so as well! Since I was young I've always enjoyed the feeling of receiving a sentimental card from those I cherish and love! That's why I always get excited to do the same for my family and friends...letting them know just how special they really are!

I have always enjoyed buying cards and writing sentimental thoughts and feelings in them. I find that by taking my time and thinking about the person I'm giving it to, it can really help me write something from the heart. Joseph Joyce, Creative Director for Cardstore.com, has some great tips for writing heartfelt cards as well. Here are a few I especially like:

  1. Be Yourself - Your Valentine's Day card should represent you and the feelings you have for your partner. "Be yourself, speak from the heart and let the card be the card," says Joyce. "In other words, you don't have to try to sound like a greeting card because that part's already done for you. Just be honest and say what you feel.
  2. Incorporate Photography - Try choosing a photo that highlights an unforgettable moment you shared together and incorporate it into your card. You might tuck a printed photo inside the card, but to really impress, consider designing your card online with your personal photos.
  3. Personalize - "Personalization is a huge trend" Joyce says. "Creating something custom for someone is very special, and easier with current technology. We also continue to see design trends like chalkboard, beautiful handlettering and flirty card-copy."
This Valentine's Day, Cardstore.com wants to help people share their feelings with loved ones. Whether you're looking to write a sentimental, romantic message to your spouse, or a silly, festive note to your kids, Cardstore.com has something for everyone!

You may remember me mentioning Cardstore.com before the holidays. They make personalizing and sending special cards a piece of cake! As a busy mom, I love when tasks like this are made easier for me. I can now make cards from the comfort of my home, personalizing them and making them more special than anything I could find in the store. Best of all, once you create a custom card with personalized pictures, messages and a signature, Cardstore.com will even print, stamp and SEND the cards for you!!

With Valentine's Day around the corner, I was excited when asked to work with Cardstore.com on a review. They have a fantastic selection of Valentine's Day cards to choose from. I was able to create one for my hubby and one for my kids.

It took me a while to decide on one for each of them, there's just so many to choose from! I finally narrowed it down and couldn't be happier with my decision. Aren't they fun?!

And, best of all, it was super simple to do! I simply picked my card, personalized it with a photo(s) and message (which couldn't have been easier), and then chose my shipping preferences. I could either have it shipped directly to the recipient or have it shipped to me so I could give it to them. Since my hubby and kids obviously live with me, I chose to have it shipped to me with a blank envelope so I could give it to them on Valentine's Day.

Valentine's Day often sneaks up on me, so I'm happy to have found an easy way to plan in advance. I would encourage you to pre-plan as well. Cardstore.com makes it really easy to do. You can create your card and then choose the date you'd like it sent by. How great is that?! (Note - the deadline for ordering Valentine’s Day cards in order for them to arrive in time is February 6th)

You'll find a great selection to choose from, and you'll be able to take your time from home personalizing it just the way you want...bringing your loved ones to tears as they read your loving words. Cardstore reminds us this year that 'It's Okay To Cry' and embrace the emotions and sentiment from our loved ones...so ahead, and make it personal! There have been many times I've brought loved ones to tears as they read my sentimental thoughts and feelings in a birthday or holiday card.
