It's an exciting weekend for many football fans out there. Even if you're not a big fan of the sport, everyone knows that the Big Game is not just about the athletic competition, it's also about the food (my favorite part!)
We usually get together with friends to watch the game and I like to have a yummy appetizer of some sort to share at the Big Game Party. That's why I was excited to learn about a new Jalapeno Popper Dip from French's!

JALAPENO POPPER DIP

Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 0 Minutes
1 pkg. (8oz) cream cheese, softened
1 C mayo
1 C shredded Mexican blend or cheddar cheese
1/4 C French's Classic Yellow Mustard or French's Spicy Brown Mustard
4 Jalapenos peppers, seeded and diced or 1 can (4 oz) diced jalapenos, drained
2 tbsp Panko bread crumbs, toasted (optional)

1. Combine all ingredients except bread crumbs in a medium bowl
2. Sprinkle bread crumbs over dip just before serving
3. Serve with tortilla chips

Makes 3 Cups

Tips: For a hot dip, turn into 1 qt ovenproof dish; top with bread crumbs
Bake at 375 F for 20 minutes or until hot.

According to Food Business News, jalapeno-flavored appetizers grew 22% over the past year and entrees featuring the moderately-spiced pepper rose about 10%. Requiring only five simple ingredients including 100% natural French's Mustard and fresh jalapenos, flavor fans give French's Jalapeno Popper Dip high scores for both taste AND convenience!

As a busy mom I love recipes that are easy to prepare, but still impress a crowd! This one seems to fit the bill. The combination of jalapenos and French's Mustard, blended with the cream cheese results in an exciting flavor experience that pairs well with crackers, chips and even fresh vegetables.

We were sent a fun package from French's that will make game day a hit with a French's Premium Grilling Took Kit, French's oven mitt and $3 off product coupon!

In addition to recipe ideas, French's is also offering some game day activity for the non-football fans at your party. The company will be rolling out "The Other Big Game", a trivia game that engages non-sports fans with the broadcast on air. To play the game, go to French's Facebook page and click on The Other Big Game logo and do the following:

  • Click on the "options" below. Download, then print and distribute to party guests.
  • Have everyone fill out the game card before the game starts
  • Reward the winner handsomely

If you're not sure of an answer, you can go to French's Facebook page for the official results after the game.

So, if you're looking for some good recipes and activities, head on over to Frenchs.com and their facebook page! Enjoy the game!

Win It: One lucky reader will win a French's Product Coupon and French's Oven Mitt!

When I don't care about the outcome of the game I usually go to a friends house and pig out on the free pizza and wings!!! But this year I actually want to watch the game so I am going to stay home and watch all alone.
