Amazon Prime with Free Two-Day Shipping {review}

I will start out by saying that I like to support buying local as much as possible.  It benefits my community, which benefits me.  However, for the things that I would otherwise buy at a large chain store, shopping online is much easier.

I am in the process of moving five hours north from my previous home.  I've spent the last four days unpacking and cleaning and unpacking and then more unpacking.  As I've begun to settle in I'm constantly discovering things I need to make this new house a home.  A closet organizer for my son's room, a new vacuum, and bubble bath because we just ran out tonight.  Instead of writing all this down on a shopping list and then later on loading up my son in the car and driving to three different stores to purchase all the right things, I simply grab my iPad, click on my Amazon app and within five minutes or less of browsing I hit the green button and tuh-duh! my items will be arriving two days later and the shipping is always free.

It's also great if you get home from the store only to realize that you forgot that one really important item.  Instead of stressing, just order it from Amazon Prime.  Since they really do carry SO many different types of products, they're likely to carry that item or at least something similar.

It costs $79 per year to sign up for Amazon Prime.  I know this can seem like a lot up front, but when you consider gas prices and time spent in the car, you're likely to come out on top.  Prime also includes free streaming of tons of movies, TV episodes and Kindle titles.

With gift-buying season now here, if you've been thinking about signing up anyway this might be a great time to do so.

And Happy Thanksgiving!

**I did not receive any compensation or free product for this review.  I just really enjoy the service and wanted to share with my readers
