**I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Boys & Girls Clubs of America. I received a promotional item as a thank you for participating.

The past couple of weeks were spent getting Kaelyn all ready for school. She started Kindergarten two days ago, which has been a big milestone for this mama! It's definitely bittersweet sending her off to school...all day, every day...but I am excited for her, knowing how much she loves it!

In getting ready for the school year, we spent some time getting Kaelyn some new school clothes and school supplies. We also have had to work out our schedules so someone can take her to school each morning, and so one of us is at home when she gets off the buss. It's quite the change for our family, but is going smoothly so far. It helped to prepare ahead of time!

It's so important to help prepare children for school and support today's youth. Each year 1 million students fail to graduate high school. This scary statistic proves how important it is! This Back-to-School season, Boys and Girls Clubs of America and long-time partner Disney, have launched an online supply drive!

By simply playing a pop-quiz style game, you can help donate school supplies to local BGCA Clubs. For every five correct answers, a donation of supplies will be made!

I don't know about you, but I think this is a fantastic initiative and a way to help get kids ready for the school year. I would encourage you to check it out and play the game. For more info, you can visit www.greatfutures.org/backtoschool.

The BGCA website also offers an array of educational content for parents as they prepare to send kids back to school. I found the Homework Tips for Parents to be very interesting. There are so many great ideas on what can be done to help encourage children to do their Homework and have a good attitude while doing it!
