**The products for this review were provided by Learning Resources. All opinions are my own.

My kids like to keep busy at home with activities and games. That's why I try to have several options available to them that are both educational and fun. Thankfully, Learning Resources is a company I know I can count on for exactly that!

I appreciate the variety of products Learning Resources offers both parents and teachers. When I was teaching, I turned to their games and activities a lot because the kids were having fun and learning at the same time! I want the same for my kids which is why we own several of their products as well! We've never been disappointed and are always eager to learn more about the new products that come available. That's why I was excited to given the opportunity to review the Alpha-Bug Step n' Spell!

Out of the box, the kids were eager to try out this fun interactive play mat! I love that it's so easy to set up. Simply lay it out and turn it on (we had to add the required 3AA batteries to get started)! Measuring 60" x 32" this is a great size and perfect for older children too.

Since this product encourages the exploration of letters, sounds and spelling I knew it would be especially good for my 4 year old and 6 year old. Kaden enjoys learning more about the letters and sounds, while Kaelyn loves to spell and read! It's something fun that they can enjoy doing together or separately.

I appreciate that the Alpha Bug offers 4 different activities so that children at different ages can be challenged and have fun with it. It's great for families with more than one child. Appropriate for ages 3-7 lets me know that this is something we'll use for a long time!

The kids have had an absolute blast with the Alpha Bug Step n' Spell! Not only are they having fun, but they're learning a lot along the way! Kaden especially enjoys the step-along to The ABC Song! When he hears the letter he steps on it. It's simple, but effective and fun. It keeps him moving which is what every young child needs.

Even my 2 year old enjoys playing on the mat. His favorite is the music mode that turns letters into notes! All three of the kids have so much fun walking around on each of the letters. I enjoy seeing them have so much fun.

With Christmas around the corner I would definitely recommend this product to families with young children!  It's a lot of fun and given the high quality, is something that will hold up well. Learning Resources makes shopping easy. Head over to their site and you'll find gift ideas categorized by age and price. It makes shopping easy and fun! You're sure to find something perfect for the little ones on your list this year.
