We see a mix of movies in our household. My daughter enjoys the girly, princess movies...while my sons love anything to do with cars, planes, etc! I love it, because we have a variety of things to watch and enjoy together as a family.
My sons are especially into movies, and of course were over the moon when Disney's Planes came out! We saw it in the theater and loved it! We knew it would need to be added to our movie library at home, which is why I was excited when given the opportunity to review the Disney Planes Blu-ray + DVD + Digital Copy Combo Pack!
For those who are not familiar, Planes is a heartwarming family comedy full of action and adventure. The story is about a crop dusting plane named Dusty with sky-high dreams. He's given the once-in-a-lifetime chance to take on the world's fastest flyers in the greatest air race ever!!
Dusty has a huge heart but two big problems, he's not really built for speed as a crop duster plane, and he's afraid of heights. His courage is put to the ultimate test as this unlikely hero aims higher than he ever imagined. With a little help from friends, Dusty finds the courage to be more than he was built for and the inspiration to soar.
Although we had seen the movie in the theater, it had been a while and I didn't remember a whole lot about it. Once we got watching it as a family, I was reminded just how uplifting this great story of bravery and friendship really is!
I love the storyline of the movie and although a fan of the movie Cars, enjoyed this even more! It has so many great lessons on friendship and teaching children that they can do anything they put their minds to.
It's a movie our whole family enjoys and I know we'll be watching it again and again.
The great thing about this combo pack, is that it has some fun bonus features as well! It includes deleted scenes, the Exclusive Franz's Song, Top Ten Flyers, Meet the Racers and Klay's Flight Plan. The kids especially enjoyed these extra features.
Offering a lot of action, adventure and fun, Planes is the perfect gift for both girls and boys of all ages this holiday season! I would highly recommend it and think it would make a great stocking stuffer!
