When it comes to toys on the top of Kaelyn's Christmas wishlist, dolls are #1! From the time she was very little, she has enjoyed playing and nurturing her babies just like she sees me do with her and her brothers. It's fun to watch as she cares for them and plays with them. This is the type of toy she can play with hours on end as it allows her to use her imagination through open-ended play.
I am always looking for dolls, furniture and accessories that will encourage her love for playing mommy. That's why I was thrilled when introduced to European toy maker Famosa who offers innovative, safe and high quality products that foster all around development for young children.
The company markets brands including the popular Nenuco which is known for their dolls. Crafted by Spanish artisans, little girls still cherish playing with these cuddly baby dolls five decades later! I was excited to learn more about their newest product and find out we were going to have the opportunity to review it.
We were sent the Nenuco Sleep with Me Baby Doll & Cradle to review.
When the playset arrived, Kaelyn was very eager to check it out. I don't blame her. Even as a grown adult, I still enjoy playing dolls along with her! This is no ordinary doll though. Along with the baby, comes a cradle, a pacifier, and bottle!
There was very little assembly required and no time at all we had it put together and ready to use. I love that there's a place to keep the bottle and pacifier, as well as a pillow and blanket to keep the baby comfortable. It really helps make playing "mommy" more realistic for her.
The cradle is great to use on it's own. I love that it can stand freely and be played with in this way. My youngest enjoys it a lot!
Of course, one of the neatest features is that when not being used on the floor, it can actually attach right to a child's bed so baby can sleep close. This reminds Kaelyn of when we had each of them in our room when they were newborns. She enjoys having her baby near and being able to take care of her night and day.
There's even a star nightlight with music that can be played as well!
And...when Kaelyn isn't using the cradle she still has her newborn styled doll to play with! This doll has a cuddly soft body and even has a sweet smell to her. At 42cm she is a great size and fits perfectly in the cradle when she's ready to sleep.
Overall we've been very pleased with the Nenuco Sleep with Me Baby Doll & Cradle. I love that it's simple, yet unique and something Kaelyn can use for a long time to come. This would make a fabulous gift idea for any little girl OR boy on your Christmas list this year.
