Ubooly ~ An Educational Toy & App for kids! Review & Giveaway

Posted by Jenna | Monday, June 10, 2013

**I was provided with product to facilitate this review. All opinions are my own.

As I've mentioned in the past, all three of my kids enjoy playing with my iPhone. Whether it's to watch a cartoon, or play one of their many games...it is a favorite "toy" in our family. Wanting my kids to learn while having fun, I am always on the lookout for fun, educational apps that they can use...even better when it includes a cute plush toy to go along with it! That's why I was excited to learn more about Ubooly.

Ubooly is an educational toy with 1,000+ fun activities for ages 4-10. Ubooly tells stories, plays games, sings songs, teaches lessons and best of all, is your child's best friend. Play with just the app or also with the Ubooly stuffed animal. The animal lets your child unlock fun adventure games where they can explore and learn together. Kids earn coins by completing educational activities. Coins unlock fun costumes and furniture for Ubooly's room.

I love the idea behind Ubooly. Created to provide children with an interactive and engaging toy that would be entertaining and educational, this new pet provides fun and learning all in one place! I was thrilled to learn we were going to have the opportunity to review Ubooly, and so was Kaelyn!
Downloading the Ubooly App and getting everything set up couldn't have been easier when it arrived. And Kaelyn could hardly contain her excitement!! Ubooly can be personalized to your child's interests (colors, favorite foods, etc) and refers to your child by his/her name. Kaelyn was tickled that Ubooly actually knew her name!

Once Kaden is a bit older, I appreciate that Ubooly can be personalized to more than one child. When the time comes I will simply add his name in and customize his personal information. Then, when one of them wants to play I can just switch the name from an easy to use drop down menu.

As I said, getting it set up was super easy, and I was impressed as I looked through the Ubooly Lab. There are so many fun topics for kids to do and learn about with Ubooly including alphabet, counting, teeth brushing, Spanish and more! Parents simply purchase credits and unlock these fun packs for their kids to engage and learn with. I appreciate that parents have full control of customizing their child's playtime with the Ubooly Lab. It's very easy to navigate and use.

Kaelyn has used the Ubooly app on its own, but most of all...she enjoys using it with the adorable plush Ubooly toy!

It simply slips right into the Ubooly plush toy.

It's been fun to watch her interact with Ubooly, having fun and best of all...learning as she goes!! Between the funny jokes Ubooly tells and the interactive learning content packs about the alphabet, space, etc....Kaelyn could spend hours with her new pet. Whether it's outside, or a rainy day in her bedroom...she loves this educational toy and so do I!

She especially likes it when Ubooly asks her to throw him up in the air. :)

What's neat is that Ubooly listens and corresponds with the kids using voice recognition to engage with children in a fun and educational way. I love that it's interactive in this way and not just by tapping the screen...it's what really engages the kids and brings Ubooly to life!

Ubooly's little voice is absolutely adorable too. My favorite feature are the fun learning packs, especially the ocean. With summer just around the corner, Kaelyn has been really intrigued with the Ocean and enjoys learning more from Ubooly. She enjoys following directions as he tells her to put on her pretend SPF sunblock and get ready for a trip to the ocean. She's learning so much and doesn't even realize it.

One of her favorite things is that as she engages with Ubooly and complete content packs, she is rewarded with coins that allows her to buy accessories to further customize Ubooly.  Our Ubooly for instance, currently has glasses. :)

Overall, we've been happy with Ubooly and really have no complaints. He's a lot of fun and Kaelyn sure enjoys her new pet that plays with her and teaches her so many fun facts and skills. Some key features we love about Ubooly are:
  • lessons can be added with just one click
  • can be personalized to child's interests
  • lessons are written by top educators
  • children stay fit and active while learning
  • Ubooly can be used as the app alone or along with the plush toy
  • parents receive email progress reports
As a parent I would definitely recommend looking into Ubooly for your own children. You can learn more at Ubooly.com.

you usually do not have anything to place up for collateral or just don't wish to chance losing any of the assets it might take you a lttle bit longer to find the correct lender but it might be done.
