World's Greatest Dad Blog Tour

Father's Day is just around the corner, and as this special day nears I can't help but think about my wonderful dad and how truly blessed I am to have him in my life! I have such an amazing Dad. He is very special to me and I appreciate him more than words can say. He is such a loving person and has been such a great role model in my life. Growing up, he knew when to have fun with my brothers and I, but could also be firm and stand his ground when needed. He and my husband actually remind me a lot of each other, and are both fantastic dads. They're both loving and fun, and can be firm when necessary. I'm so lucky to have them in my life and can't wait to celebrate Father's Day with them in just a couple short weeks.

Just in time for Father's Day, a leading online resource for Dads, ManoftheHouse.com, has come up with the World's Greatest TV Dad contest. Basically, this tournament is a bracket-style competition and will pit 32 favorite father figures from television against each other for an audience-voted run at the title: which character best represents the ideal American Dad and will reign supreme this year? The "World's Greatest TV Dad" will be announced just before Father's Day on Friday, June 17.

As I think back to shows from my childhood and television shows now, the parenting styles of fathers continually changes. In checking out the television Dads in the running, I have to say my favorite (from those who are left) would be Charles Ingalls from Little House on the Prairie. Remember him?! This was a show I enjoyed watching when I was younger. Charles Ingalls was firm, yet very tender and loving. He was very wise and had such a kind way of parenting his children. This is who my vote goes to, how about you? Be sure to check out the contest and choose your favorite (you can vote daily). It's fun! I can't wait to see who wins the vote.

**I wrote this review while participating in a blog tour campaign by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of P&G and received promotional items to thank me for taking the time to participate.
