Mickey Mouse Clubhouse is a favorite for both of my kids. It's wholesome, fun-filled and educational! I can't tell you how many times Kaelyn has repeated something she's learned. It's great! The interactive story lines never fail to hold my 3 year old or 1 year old's attention. They love to get involved and help Mickey on his adventures....especially when he calls Toodles!
I knew my kids would be thrilled (especially my 3 year old daughter) when I learned we were going to have the opportunity to review the Mickey Mote along with Mickey Mouse Clubhouse: Mickey's Great Outdoors DVD!
When the package arrived, we were all excited to check it out. Mickey Mouse has been a favorite in households for many years, and ours is no different. With summer on its way, the outdoors theme is especially relevant to the activities we will be doing as family.
And, the only thing that could make this DVD better, is to include a Mickey Mote...which it did! Kaelyn has enjoyed using a Mickey Mote in the past with other compatible DVDs. I think it's great that it comes as a package...what a fantastic way to get kids even more involved in learning while watching characters they love!
For those who have never used a Mickey Mote, it's basically a child-friendly handheld remote control shaped like Mickey ears. So CUTE! Just the appearance alone is sure to captivate the interest of children (and adults) of all ages! It is not only perfectly sized for small hands and simple to use, but best of all...it allows Kaelyn to interact on a whole new level and learn at the same time!
The Mickey's Great Outdoors DVD can be watched in 3 fun ways...Discovery Mode Level 1 (use Mickey Mote to answer questions about colors, shapes and sizes), Discovery Mode Level 2 (Higher level, more challenging questions using the Mickey Mote), and Auto Play (without using the remote).
As I've mentioned in the past, the Mickey Mote is really easy to set up. Simply program the remote by following easy steps outlined at the beginning of the DVD. It takes no time at all...and in just minutes your little one is ready to start using it!
Level 1 on this DVD seems perfect for Kaelyn. She loves answering questions dealing with shapes and colors...so it couldn't be better for her interest and ability level. She really enjoys using the Mickey Mote, and I love that it's allow her to learn the entire time! Fine motor skills, memorization, recognizing colors, and following directions are just some of the many things she works on when using it.
The Mickey's Great Outdoors DVD was just as big of a hit as the Mickey Mote! It's a fun on-the-go adventure, perfect for summer! Available on May 24th, it includes Mickey Mouse and his famous pals as they enjoy the outdoors by camping, fishing and exploring nature.
Featuring four episodes, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse has really helped kick off summer.
