I'm sure there are many who are familiar with the beloved Madeline, right?! It was through the classic books that I was first introduced to her and the other 11 girls who live together. She is a sweet girl, but seems to find trouble wherever she goes. I always enjoys seeing what Madeline is up to, and since introducing her to Kaelyn, so does she! We were both excited when Madeline's Christmas & Other Wintery Tales DVD arrived on our doorstep for review thanks to Shout! Factory.
On October 19, 2010, Shout! Factory will release Madeline's Christmas & Other Wintery Tales. The DVD contains five animated episodes, all making their DVD debut:
- Madeline's Winter Vacation
- Madeline and Santa
- Mdeline at the North Pole
- Madeline and the Ice Skates
- Madeline's Holiday with Mr. Grump
We thoroughly enjoyed this DVD. With winter just around the corner and the Holidays nearing, it was a fun to watch. Kaelyn enjoyed hearing all about Santa, snowmen and ice skates - she even pretended to ice skate along with them. I think her favorite part of the DVD was the music. The tunes are catchy and fun. What I like most about the episodes is that they're short enough to keep even a young child's attention. Kaelyn has no problem sitting and watching the episodes from start to finish without losing interest. They're pretty fast paced and always interesting.
I would recommend this DVD for anyone who enjoys Madeline! We are sure happy to have it as part of our collection.
