Being able to surround my kids with books and encourage a love for reading from a very young age is very important to me. I do my best to make sure I am giving each of them the very best start in life....not only educationally, but also physically with the foods they eat and the products we use in our home. Over time I have become more conscious of the choices we make and how it affects the environment my kids are growing up in. That's why I was thrilled when introduced to a new collection from innovativeKids called green start™.

The goal of innovativeKids is to bring the best of fun and learning to children around the world. They create unique books, games, toys and puzzles for children birth to 12 with the belief that having fun is the best way to learn.

Their green start™ collection is designed for ages 18 months to 6 years old and aims at helping give very young children an awareness of the natural world and an understanding of how people are interconnected with everything around them. By giving kids a green start, it is their belief that making eco-friendly choices down the road will be much easier.

When I first learned of green start™, I was very impressed to learn that the products used are printed using 98% post-consumer recycled materials and eco-friendly ink! The content is focused on encouraging children to love and respect the natural world while offering a variety of stimulating, and affordable (all items are under $15) products kids love!

I was very excited to find out that we were going to have the opportunity to review the green start™ Little Learning Books Tower!

When the Little Learning Books Tower arrived, I was immediately impressed with the adorable 'tower' box it comes in. It's the perfect way to keep all the books in one place and to be able to take them easily wherever we go. Oh, and did I mention it's absolutely adorable?!


I had the choice between Little Animal Books and Little Learning Books. I decided to go with the Little Learning books because they cover important early learning concepts like opposites, shapes, counting, and more. I had a feeling these would be things that would interest Kaelyn and I was right! She hasn't wanted to put the books down since receiving them!

When we first took the books out, I was very pleased with the quality. These are not your typical lightweight books that will bend or tear. Each book and pages are very thick. This not only makes them durable, but also the perfect size for little hands. I foresee these lasting us a very long time!

They are very short, simple, interesting, and colorful...all things that are ideal for young children. In fact, Kaelyn has actually started 'reading' them on her own and can recite many of the stories by herself. It is so neat to see her love for reading growing.


I am SO impressed with the Little Learning Books Tower! Not only are the learning concepts great for Kaelyn's age, but the fact that these mini-books are eco-friendly makes them that much better. innovativeKids definitely had both child and parent in mind when creating this product. I highly recommend checking them out and will be sharing about them with other parents I know.
