Tommee Tippee Summer Blog Tour ~ Explora Products Review

Posted by Jenna | Thursday, July 22, 2010

As a mom of two little ones, I am always looking for ways to make mealtime and taking snacks on the go easier and more convenient. This is the time of year when we're out and about a lot...so I was especially appreciative when I learned about Tommee Tippee's Explora line of products and excited to find out that I was going to have the opportunity to review them!

Tommee Tippee® is the number-one brand of infant and toddler feeding products in Great Britain. Since 1965, they have earned a reputation for having clever ideas, product quality and simply intuitive designs that promote natural development at every age, stage and feeding need. Previously only available in the UK, Tommee Tippee entered the US in January of this year. Their products can now be found in Babies' R Us and Toys R Us stores all over the country!

The Tommee Tippee Explora line includes BPA-free toddler drinking and feeding products to help children and their parents through the weaning process. These products are designed to take children from first sips and nibbles to grown up drinking and self feeding by easying transitions along the way.

We were sent the Explora truly spill proof water bottle, the Explora Easy Mat, and the Explora weaning bowl with lid and spoon.

When the Explora products arrived, I was immediately impressed with the quality. We have come across some very cheaply made baby products over the years...so this was very much appreciated! The colors and designs were a lot of fun too!

The Sippy Cup (stage 2) has probably gotten the most use because both Kaden and Kaelyn can use it easily. It includes an advance-flo valve designed by a physicist and requires almost no force to drink from, yet still remains spill-and-leak proof. This cup has been put to the test by my two children...and I can tell you that we've had no leaks at all! What a huge plus this has been! It is also dishwasher safe which I love too!

The Explora cup also includes a specific grip to fit little fingers and a unique spout that is soft to protect little ones' gums and mouths.

Kaden is just beginning to feed himself some foods, which is why I was thrilled to see that the Explora line included an Easi-Mat! Not knowing the difference, he often will dump out a dish if I set it on his high chair with food in it. Thankfully this mat is made to help with situations just like this!

The Easi-Mat sticks to flat surfaces and holds all Tommee Tippe bowls and plates (and most other brands of plates and bowls) securely in place. This helps to prevent slips, spills and tosses (yes we have some of those too), while helping to encourage independent feeding. We have come across several products made to do the same thing...but this one works better than most! It's amazing how well it stays in place. I can now let Kaden eat his food from a bowl without having to worry that it, and the food inside, will hit the floor before anything reaches his mouth.

The Explora weaning bowl with lid and spoon is also a new favorite around our household! It has especially come in handy when we're on the go thanks to the leak-proof, snap shut lids and spoon which can easily be stored on the top for easy storage and travel.

I love the fact that it is Microwave, Dishwasher and Freezer Safe too! This helps to cut down on the number of dishes we use and makes life so much easier for me. It secures well to the Easi-Mat and makes it easy for Kaden to use in feeding himself.

Having never used Tommee Tippee products before, I was skeptical about how well I would like them. After using them, I can tell you that they get a thumbs up from everyone in our family...as they're made with both child and parent in mind! They're fun, age appropriate, high quality, easy to clean, and prevent messes...who could ask for more?!
