Keeping teeth healthy and clean is an ongoing battle because the need to brush your teeth never goes away.  And of course we can all agree that maintaining good oral hygiene is a lot more fun than dealing with long, painful dentist visits if we get lazy and let our routines slide.  Thankfully, in our country, great products and education are available through companies like Oral-B

The Oral-B brand is a worldwide leader in the brushing market and part of the Procter & Gamble Company.  Oral-B brand includes manual and power toothbrushes for children and adults, oral irrigators, oral care centers and interdental products, such as dental floss. Oral-B toothbrushes are used by more dentists than any other brand worldwide.

The Oral-B Professional Care Deep Sweep 4000 Dual Handle Rechargeable Toothbrush is a top of the line electric toothbrush.  It features two handles, two chargers, two deep sweep refills, two travel cases, 4 modes (Daily, Sensitive, Whitening, Deep Clean), and premium aesthetics handles.

I got to try it out and I must say that I loved using this toothbrush!  It leaves your mouth feeling so invigorated and clean!

(The model: my husband)

I could also see why electric toothbrushes would be a great idea for kids because it makes brushing more fun and helps kids do a better job too.  My toddler currently hates brushing his teeth.  I mean he hates it so much that twice a day we have a crisis over it.  So I'm definitely considering trying out the electric one on him and hoping he starts to see brushing as more of a game with a cool toy, rather than a nightmare.

The Oral-B Professional Care Deep Sweep 4000 Rechargeable Toothbrush itself is easy to hold and felt surprisingly lightweight.  There's rubber gripping on the backside of the toothbrush - very comfortable - and only two buttons on the front.  Simple is nice.  One button is the On/Off button and the other one adjusts the intensity of the vibrations.  It also comes with a nice, lightweight plastic travel case.

I haven't used an electric toothbrush in over fifteen years when that other brand came out with their first model.  Gosh, that makes me feel old saying that!  Electric toothbrushes have certainly come a long way since then!

The charging station is minimal and sleek; a nice touch because it won't take up too much counter space.  In fact, it was even slim enough to fit into our tiny medicine cabinet for storage in case we didn't want it left on our bathroom counter tops at all.  There's room for four toothbrush heads to be stored in the holding dock at a time.  The cover keeps the toothbrush heads protected, but is open at the bottom to provide a bit of airflow so the bristles can dry out.

The Smart Guide is a great feature.  It's powered by two AA batteries and tells you when you can move on to the next section of your mouth.  The smiley face shows you which quadrant of your mouth you should currently be brushing while the stars also fill in every 30 seconds to show your progress.  I've never used a timer while brushing my teeth before, but I can see why it's truly a great idea for keeping your teeth and gums healthy.  Sometimes it's tempting to brush teeth quickly, but this helps make sure you spend the right amount of time on each section.

I love this for myself and for my husband, but this is also an incredible feature for kids in teaching them how long is the right amount of time to brush their teeth.  The 30 seconds on each quadrant is the amount of time recommended by the American Dental Association.

Since the toothbrush is rechargeable, the Professional Care 4000 Rechargeable Toothbrush is a good, long-term investment in your dental health.  It's fun and easy to use!
