Holiday Gift Guide 2012: Collections Etc. Lighted Joy Nativity Scene Holiday Sculpture Review & Giveaway

Can you believe Christmas is just around the corner? It's hard to believe, but in just 20 days it will be here. I have a lot of my shopping done already, but there's still some gifts to buy. Some of my family and friends have been easy to buy for, but there are those who take a little more time to come up with something unique and affordable. When it comes to gifts like this, one of the companies I know I can count on is Collections Etc.

A leading catalog company and online retailer, Collections Etc. has been around for over 40 years selling affordable gifts and home decor for the whole family. Offering thousands of products...everything from home decor and garden supplies to toys and clothing... (most of which are $19.99 or less and over 1,500 are $14.99 or less), you're sure to find the perfect gift for everyone on your list this year.

I have been a big fan of Collections Etc for quite a while now, and turn to their company when I'm looking for affordable, high quality gifts. They offer a large selection of products at great prices. In browsing through their site recently I came across several great Christmas items and Holiday decor pieces that would make great gifts or ideas for hosting family get-togethers. Here are a few of my favorites.

Holly Christmas Utensil Holder ~ $12.99

Whether you're hosting a Christmas party this year, or just want to decorate for a family dinner...the Holly Christmas Utensil Holder would be a great addition to any holiday decor. I was drawn to it right away, as I love when flatware is neatly organized and easily accessible. This set includes three stoneware holders which feature a pretty holly design and nestle nicely into a wire rack (which also has a handle for carrying). The quality sounds great, and the price extremely affordable.  I know a few people on my list who would absolutely love this as a Christmas gift this year. How about you?

Gift Box Centerpiece ~ $13.99

The Gift Box Centerpiece is also a fun idea that would make a great gift idea, as well as the perfect addition any holiday decor in your home. I love seasonal centerpieces, and this one is definitely one of a kind. This light-up centerpiece is great for a table or mantle decoration, casting a festive glow throughout any room. It features three fancy gift-wrapped presents that glow atop a decorated swag of faux greenery, tiny ornaments and colorful fiber optic lights.

Gold Berries Christmas Branches 20" Holiday Wreath ~ $11.99

I have several people on my Christmas list who love to decorate their homes. I'm always looking for unique pieces, and the Gold Berries Christmas Branches Holiday Wreath definitely suits each of them. The reason why it stood out to me, is that it has the right look for the holidays, but it's so stunning that I think it could be used anytime of the year. This is not only an item I've considered giving as a gift, but also getting for myself. I think it would look beautiful on our front door or mantel...even the wall! I love the look of the gold glitter on the berry filled branches. It's very elegant and beautiful.

Lighted Joy Nativity Scene Holiday Sculpture ~ $12.99

 

Although the previous items stood out to me while visiting Collections Etc this holiday season, one of my favorite finds would definitely have to be the Lighted Joy Nativity Scene Holiday Sculpture and I couldn't have been more thrilled to learn we were going to have the opportunity to review it.

When the nativity scene sculpture arrived, I was impressed with the quality right away. It's very well made, and the details are absolutely stunning! The picture made it look beautiful, but it is even more gorgeous in person. I absolutely love the time that went into all of the details in making Mary, Joseph, and Baby Jesus. The word "JOY" is also sculpted as part of this nativity scene, adding to it's beauty. The scene of Mary, Joseph and Baby Jesus is right in the middle of the "O" right in the middle where the focus should be. 

I love what a beautiful reminder this is to myself and my family of what Christmas is truly all about. It is honestly one of the most beautiful nativity items I've seen or owned. 

Aside from the quality and beautiful details, this nativity also offers a couple of other unique features that make it a must-have in my opinion. There's a button on the bottom that when turned on bathes this holy scene in blue light. I wasn't sure how it would look, but once we turned it on it made the nativity scene that much more beautiful. I love the look and feel it gives. 

There's also a button on the back that when pushed, plays Joy to the World. This is definitely my kids' favorite feature of all! The nativity does require 3 button-cell batteries, but they are included. So, whether this is a gift for yourself or someone else...you know that it arrives ready to use. YAY!

This is one of my favorite Christmas decor items and one that we'll be setting out every Christmas for many years to come. I love everything about it, and have received many compliments on it from those who have visited our home. I would highly recommend it as an addition to your Christmas decor this holiday season as well as an excellent gift idea also!
