EatSmart Precision Digital GetFit Body Fat Scale ~ Review & Giveaway

Since having Caysen 6 months ago, I've been working on getting back into shape. My husband and I have both made a decision to try and eat healthier and exercise more...and over the past couple of months, have been doing great! We had all the necessary tools to help keep us on track, but were wanting to do more than just watch our weight measurements. I for one, really wanted to keep an eye on my body fat, muscle mass, etc. I had a feeling EatSmart would have just the thing I was looking for. I was right!

I've had the opportunity to review a couple of their products in the past and have been extremely happy with the quality and how user-friendly they are. After learning more about this great bathroom scale, I knew that I was not only going to love it, but my husband would as well! It would make a fantastic gift for any Dad this Father's Day who likes to make healthy choices and loves the latest cutting edge technology like my hubby does.


When it arrived, I couldn't wait to check it out!

Upon opening the box, I found that the EatSmart GetFit Digital Body Fat Scale comes with 4 AAA batteries included. I really appreciated this, as I did not have any on hand and it made it possible to start using it right away.

I was immediately drawn to the sleek, slim, modern design of this bathroom scale. I love the black, not to mention how slim it is. I don't mind having it sit out in our guest bathroom because it looks great and doesn't take up a lot of room. YAY!

Once I had checked it over, I was excited to start using it. I found all the info I needed to get it set up in the user-friendly manual included. I first selected a unit (lbs or kg). I then stepped on the scale to weigh myself. I love that it features the EatSmart "Step-On" Technology so I 'm able to get instant readings without having to wait. After just a few seconds of standing there, the weight flashed three times and locked into my true weight. The large 3.5" Blue LCD display with white backlight makes the whole process easier, as it's makes it easy to read...especially in our bathroom where the lighting isn't the greatest. I love it!

So far you might be thinking that this sounds a lot like any other scale you've tried...however, don't be fooled. The EastSmart Precision Digital GetFit Body Fat Scale is not your ordinary bathroom scale. It actually goes above and beyond by quickly and easily measuring body fat, body water, body muscle and bone mass using the newest ITO BIA technology. BIA stands for bio-electrical impedance analysis and is the technology which sends a low-level electrical signal through your body fat and then measures the resistance the signal encounters. The signal is safe and can not be felt. The lower the body fat, the faster the signal will travel. It's truly the neatest thing I've seen on a scale, ever!

And, the really neat thing...it can store personal data for up to 8 users! That means my husband and I (and our kids one day) can have our data stored and easily accessible. Thanks to the proprietary automatic user identification technology, the scale is able to recognize each user as soon as they step onto the scale. So cool!

To set up this Fitness Mode Operation, I followed the step-by-step instructions in the user manual and my husband each set up our personal profiles. To set it up, we used the convenient touch screen interface and pushed "set" to turn on the scale. We then simply used the arrow keys to set up the "Person No.", gender, age and height. At that time, the scale was ready for us to use in Fitness Mode!

When I stood on it, it locked in my weight. It then started to measure my body fat, water weight, muscle mass, and bone mass with a "o" that moves from left to right until it computes. It has been so neat to weigh myself each day and keep track of my results. I have enjoyed watching as my body fat and water weight decrease and my muscle mass increases! I followed the advice of the user-manual and do my best to measure at the same time of the day and under the same conditions to get the most accurate numbers. Consistency is key when taking readings.

I love that EatSmart even included information on the body fat, body water, muscle mass and bone mass readings to let users know what are typical readings. It has helped me see where I'm doing well, and also the things I want to work on. I love that it has graduation increments of .2 lbs as well, as this helps me see even the slightest changes and keeps me motivated. It's definitely been an encouragement!

Overall my husband and I have both been really happy with the EatSmart Precision Digital GetFit Body Fat Scale. With the 4 high precision sensors we feel we get consistent and accurate measurements every time we step on the scale. This scale is an innovative bathroom scale and has helped us monitor and analyze our body composition with ease. I love it and will definitely continue to use it for a very long time....tracking my goals has never been easier! I'd recommend this scale to anyone committed to living a healthy lifestyle. It would be an especially great Father's Day gift this year!
