JumpSport iBounce Kids Trampoline Review & Giveaway

Posted by Jenna | Saturday, April 14, 2012

I don't know about your children, but my 2 year old and 4 year old love to play educational games on the iPad and computer. Although these are great learning tools, studies show that kids need to move to develop cognitively. That's why I make sure to limit their time on devices like this and encourage them to get up and play, burn energy and build their motor skills. I have often thought how nice it would be to have an activity they could do that incorporated physical activity while still enjoying the educational benefits of games found on computers and tablets. Well, now there is thanks to JumpSport!

Founded in 1997, JumpSport began when CEO Mark Publicover invented the world's first affordable backyard trampoline safety net enclosure. Today JumpSport distributes its top- rated safety trampolines and accessories throughout the world, and its adult Fitness Trampoline at fitness clubs and retailers like Costco. With over 25 patented safety and game innovations, JumpSport continues to create playful, active and educational products for kids and adults of all ages.

As I read about the iBounce Kids Trampoline from JumpSport for the first time, I knew this was exactly what my kids needed. A fun and engaging way for toddlers to exercise and learn important skills at the same time! That's why I couldn't have been more thrilled to learn we were going to have the opportunity to review one!
Features/Benefits:
  • Great way for little ones to be active
  • Develops coordination, balance and endurance
  • Very easy to assemble
  • Secure, Sturdy, kid-proof mount for your tablet
  • Lets your child Hop-A-Long with RompyRoo on his adventures
  • Recommended for ages: 2 - 5 years old
  • Durable steel frame
  • Lightweight - 13.5 lbs
  • Strong, long lasting Elastic Cords
  • User weight limit: 80 lbs
  • Adjustable JumpSport iBounce™ Tablet Mount (iPad, Kindle, etc)
  • Hop-A-Long with RompidyRoo™ DVD
When this indoor trampoline arrived, I couldn't wait to check it out. Out of the box I felt a little overwhelmed with all of the pieces. I wasn't sure how long it might take to put together. Thankfully, I couldn't have been more wrong! My husband helped me, and in as little as 20 minutes we had it assembled thanks to the user-friendly instructions. We did have one bolt that was bent and would not work, but the company was great to get us a replacement in just a couple of days! I was very impressed and appreciative of this.

Once it was all put together, I was very impressed with just how durable the steel frame is. It can hold up to 80 lbs and is suitable for children ages 2-5 years old (perfect for my 2 year old and 4 year old!). I could tell with even a lot of use, this will be something that will last us a long time.
Between the stable frame and strong, long lasting elastic cords which hold the trampoline in place...I had no doubt this was going to be a safe and fun thing for both the kids to do. Of course, they thought so too and couldn't wait to test it out!
I didn't have to instruct them on what to do at all. Both Kaelyn and Kaden loved their time on the trampoline and instantly began jumping away! We were amazed just how fun and bouncy the trampoline is. The bungee cord system gives a soft and lively bounce that keep the kids jumping and smiling.
I absolutely love seeing just how much fun they're having, and knowing it's safe makes it that much better. The sturdy handle bars add stability for little ones as they bounce and the padding around the frame keeps them from getting hurt.

It's also very lightweight. Whether we want it in the living room, playroom or somewhere else, it's very easy to move from room to room which has been great!

Of course, one of the features that makes this kids trampoline so unique is the adjustable JumpSport iBounce Tablet Mount (for iPads, Kindles, etc) and the Hop-A-Long with RompidyRoo DVD! Along with making a great way for kids to develop their balance, coordination, endurance and motor skills, JumpSport has also incorporated a fun, interactive and educational feature that makes this unlike any other trampoline I've seen!
Every iBounce comes with the 12 minute exercise adventure video cartoon, "Hop-Along with RompyRoo - Where is Mr. Fuzzy?". For parents who have an iPad or tablet device, they can download the cartoon animation, then attach the tablet to the universal tablet mount that's included. We have an iPad and found it was very simple to download the DVD to our device and attached it directly to the trampoline. It securely sits in the mount.

For parents who don't have a tablet, they can easily watch the DVD version right on the TV which we have done as well. And, to keep exercise activities fresh and exciting, the company will introduce a new RompyRoo adventure every few months.

Kaelyn and Kaden both love RompyRoo and interacting with him as they bounce and exercise. It's more educational than I expected, asking the kids to count along as they bounce, etc. I love it, and so do they! It makes learning a lot of fun. One thing I think would be great, is if in the future they made the DVDs apps as well, so they could be even more accessible on devices like iPads.

Here's a quick video I took of the iBounce Kids Trampoline in action...

Overall we've really enjoyed the JumpSport iBounce Kids Trampoline! It has provided hours of fun and learning already. I know this is something we'll use for years to come and would highly recommend it to other parents with little ones. The quality and value it provides is definitely worth it!
