Halloween Express Review & $75 GC Giveaway

October is here, which means Halloween will be here before we know it. I think costume shopping for the kids is a lot of fun, but it can also be overwhelming trying to find cute costumes that they'll both like and that won't break the bank. Thankfully, there's a place like Halloween Express that makes it easy!
Since 1990, Halloween Express has been one of the most aggressive and dynamic Halloween costume and costume accessory chains in the US. I first came across Halloween Express last year and was very impressed with their large selection of products. With everything from costumes for all ages, Halloween accessories and decorations...they are truly a one-stop shop for all things Halloween.

When I learned we were going to have the opportunity to review a couple of products from Halloween Express, I couldn't have been more excited. I've been on the lookout for great costumes that also make fun dress-up gear year round. I decided to go with the Magician Costume, Astronaut Costume, Ariel Little Mermaid Tiara and Ariel Wand.

When the costumes and accessories arrived, I was really looking forward to checking everything out.

The first costume that caught my eye was the Magician Costume. It's something both Kaden and Kaelyn could enjoy, and I knew it would be a big hit. I was right! As I pulled the costume out of the package, I was happy to see that everything was included to really set this costume apart. It comes with a printed cape, vest with handkerchief pocket, top hat with bunny, and magic wand.

This costume is absolutely adorable and fits Kaelyn really well, except for the hat. Kaelyn has an average size head for her age, but this hat doesn't fit all the way on. She still likes to set it on top, as the bunny is a lot of fun. I know it will be the source of a lot of fun year round and I couldn't be happier with it overall.

And, what child doesn't want to be an astronaut?! I couldn't wait to see this cute little costume on Kaden. It's adorable! The costume comes with an orange jumpsuit with authentic style clips, straps and patches with cap.

I was really impressed with the quality right off the bat. It's something I can tell will last us a long time. I especially like the authentic style clips, straps and patches as it really makes it more realistic.

Living in the midwest, it's important that our Halloween costumes are warm (pants and long sleeves when possible) because the weather is bitter cold by the end of October usually. I think this will make a wonderful costume because it has plenty of coverage, even for a cold night of trick or treating.

The hat is really cute, but Kaden did not want to keep it on for the picture. It really completes the outfit.

As I've said in the past, Kaelyn is very much a girly girl and loves to dress up like a princess. This Halloween I think she has finally decided that she wants to be a mermaid so I went ahead and also reviewed a couple of adorable mermaid accessories...the Ariel Little Mermaid Tiara and Ariel Wand.

Both of these accessories have also been played with a lot, and are something I know will be played with long after Halloween is over. They really make her feel like a princess.
