Celebrating Mom: Tea Collection Women's Clothing ~ Review

Posted by Jenna | Tuesday, April 19, 2011

As the years go by, I become more and more picky about the clothes I wear. Having had two children, my body has changed and finding clothes that lay right and cover me where they need to is not always easy. Clothes shopping often ends up being rather discouraging and more trouble than it's worth. Why does it have to be so difficult to find high quality, stylish and modest women's clothing? Well, it doesn't have to be anymore, thanks to Tea Collection and their Women's Clothing line!
What began in 2002 with 3 pima cotton sweaters and a vision of bringing a fusion of worldwide cultures and modern design to Children's Clothing, has since grown to include a large selection of distinctive apparel inspired by the beauty discovered while traveling around the world. With beautiful and modern Girl's Clothing, Boy's Clothing , and Women's Clothing, everyone is sure to find something they truly love.

I was introduced to Tea Collection a couple of months ago when I had the opportunity to review a few items from their fabulous line of children's clothing. From the moment I laid eyes on their great collection, I couldn't help but want every single thing they have to offer. With everything from cute baby clothes to modern tops, pants and more for girls, boys and even women...they really do have it all!

Each season I like to find myself a few new tops to wear, and with Spring here and summer just around the corner...now is the perfect time. That's why I was excited to learn I was going to have the opportunity to review a few pieces from Tea's Women's Collection!

When the box arrived, I couldn't wait to see what was inside. There are so many great options and with everything from short sleeve and long sleeve shirts to scarves and dresses...I knew I'd be thrilled no matter what. Especially considering the quality, style and comfort Tea Collection is known for.

Upon opening the box, all I could say is wow! I had a feeling the women's clothing would be impressive, but had no idea I'd love them this much! The quality is fantastic...just as it is with the children's clothing! Not only that, but the style and colors really caught my eye and are perfect for this time of year especially. I was happy to see that there was a variety of things so I could get a better idea of all that Tea offers women.

I was sent the Modernista Tee, Azulejo Boatneck Tee, Nouveau Viollet Tunic, and Abstract Artista Scarf.

As I tried each piece on, I was very pleased with the way they fit! The Modernista Tee is beautiful. I love the classic stripe design and neutral colors. I haven't owned a shirt like this before...with the wide fitted waist band and drapier body...but love that I now do!

It covers me well and is very stylish and flattering. I get cold easily, so I also was pleased to see that it has three quarter length sleeves. The 100% cotton material is light enough to wear year-round (especially in the Spring), yet thick enough that the quality is evident. I know this is a top I will have for a very long time and one I will continue to wear a lot. It goes well with several different pants I own and can easily be dressed up or down.

I would also love this top in the Heather Grey as well.
The Azulejo Boatneck Tee caught my eye right away too. The 100% cotton material is super soft and light...perfect for this time of year especially. Once again, I was thrilled that it covered me well and wasn't too tight or too baggy. It also has a nice print on it and the periwinkle color makes it especially great for wearing with jeans and capris. I can see myself wearing this a lot over the coming months. I will admit, I wasn't sure how I'd like the soft boatneck, but after putting it on really love it! It could easily be layered or left to wear on its own. I especially like it with a cami underneath.

I was really excited when I saw the Nouveau Viollet Tunic! The colorful floral print is beautiful and fun...very springy. The 100% cotton lawn material is nice and light. It would be great for cooler days as well as warmer ones. As someone who doesn't always like to wear something that's too fitted, I really like the straight fit. It gives it a modern look and makes it perfect for layering over jeans or leggings. I like to be comfortable, and have already paired this with leggings and love it! Sleeves are something else I'm always picky about. I don't like them too short, so the flattering tiny cap dolman sleeves on this are perfect. Since it has a low v-neck, I prefer to wear a cami under it which has worked great. Aside from the style and fit, one of my favorite features about this tunic are the side pockets.
I really like Tea's signature scarf for Spring, the Abstract Artista Scarf as well. It's bold and the chunk color blocking (with red, blue, cream, etc) make it easy to mix and match with many of the tops I own (as well as many of the items found in Tea's Catalonia collection)! Once again, the quality of the fabric is great and light enough to easily be worn many times throughout the year.

I wasn't sure how I'd like the large size, but absolutely love it. It's perfect to use in so many ways, as shown on their site. So far I've just tried it as a scarf, but know I will get much use out of it this summer too.

Overall, I've been very pleased with all four pieces I received from Tea Collection to review. The quality is top notch and the style and fit are exactly what I look for in clothing. I love that I can comfortably wear these without worrying that they will not cover me enough where I want to be covered. When it comes to clothing, I like for it to be versatile and easy to mix and match and that's exactly what I've found with Tea Collection! If you're looking for high quality, stylish women's clothing...I would highly recommend checking them out....especially with Mother's Day just around the corner. With great descriptions and how the sizes run for each, shopping with Tea couldn't be easier.

Be sure to head over to Thanks, Mail Carrier and see how much Xenia has been enjoying the items she received from Tea Collection to review as well!
