SwimSpot.com ~ Women's Swimwear Review

Knowing that we'd be on the beach a lot during our recent trip to Jamaica, I knew I needed to find at least one more swimsuit. Unfortunately, swimsuit shopping is not something I enjoy. Over the years I have become quite picky about the things I wear, especially when it comes to swimwear. I need it to cover me in all the right places, but still be fun and stylish. It's not an easy task, and as I shopped online (most stores around here did not have swimsuits in January/Early February yet) I became discouraged. It was difficult knowing which swimsuits would be best for my body type without getting to try them on first. Thankfully, that's when I came across SwimSpot and am so happy I did!

As I browsed the SwimSpot website for the first time, I was impressed with how easy the site is to navigate. Having the option to shop by brand (which include popular names like Tommy Hilfiger, Hurley, Guess, and more), style, size, pattern or price made it easy for me to browse through their huge selection of bathing suits for women in a short time. Not only did their site make it easy, but also a couple of unique features I haven't found with other swimwear websites.

First is their Bikini Builder application. If you're looking for a one-of-a-kind look, you can use this easy to use application to mix and match different tops and bottoms to find the perfect suit for you. With so many different colors and prints to choose from, I enjoyed seeing how different tops and bottoms would look together. Anything that makes swimsuit shopping easier is a huge plus in my opinion!

Second is their Fit Specialist feature which is probably my favorite! Taking advantage of more than 45 years of fit expertise, customers can call (or email) and connect with a Fit Specialist. This program allows women to shop for swimwear online, much in the same way they would if they were actually in the store. The on-call team of personal shoppers and stylists have available to them the best sizing charts and fit solutions based on today's styles and cuts. They help guide the customer into the right swim style and fit based on your individual taste, preferences, and body type.

I was very excited to learn I was going to have the opportunity to review a swimsuit from SwimSpot.com. As part of the process, I connected with a Fit Specialist to find the right suit for me. As I said, the Fit Specialist is there to help you find the right style and fit for your body type and individual taste. She simply emailed me with several questions regarding my preference for style of swimsuit, color, size, body type, etc. Once I answered the questions, she got back to me right away with a whole list of options including detailed information as to why they would be a good choice for my taste and body type. I found this process to be very helpful and it couldn't have been easier to do! Based on what my Fit Specialist had to say, I decided to go with the Tommy Hilfiger Life Savor Tankini Top and Life Savor Retro Swim Bottom.

When the swimsuit arrived, I was excited to check it out and hopeful that I would love it as much on as I did online. As I pulled it out of the package, I was immediately impressed. It came in a cute little bag and I could tell a lot of care went into packaging it.

I laid out the top and bottom and found that the quality was great, and the colors were even brighter and more beautiful than I had expected them to be.

Now, the only question remaining was how it would look on! I have to admit, I was a little nervous (as I always am when purchasing swimwear online), but couldn't have been happier once I had it on! I love the over-sized dot printed tankini top. Having something that covers me and won't easily ride up is a must. The neck strap was easy to adjust so I could get the support and fit just how I wanted and needed it. I felt by pairing it with a basic solid bottom it created a slimming illusion just as the Fit Specialist suggested.

The Life Savor Retro Swim Bottom fit great and best of all, it didn't dig into my sides or fit too tight. I love how well it covers me and the fact that I wasn't constantly having to readjust after swimming in it. The side ties are also a fun accent that add to the suit as a whole. I'm very pleased with both pieces and couldn't be happier with this swimsuit!

I was really excited to have such a great swimsuit to take along to Jamaica and wore it several times! Not only was it comfortable (to lay around on the beach in, swim in and walk around in), but it also made me feel more confident knowing I had something that was suited for my body type and personal style and taste.


I also found that the swimsuit washes up beautifully and am really looking forward to wearing it more this summer!
