I didn't think twice about the products I used or what chemicals might be in them before I became a mom. It wasn't until I had our daughter that I really started paying closer attention to labels and tried to use more natural products. That's why I love using Arm & Hammer Baking Soda for cleaning. It's a naturally occurring substance found in all living things, where it helps regulate their pH balance.
Fore more than 16- years, people have chosen Arm & Hammer Baking Soda for baking household and personal care uses because it is pure, versatile, effective, safe and affordable. Although I've used it for baking and cleaning, I really had never considered using baking soda for beauty treatments. That is, until I learned of all the possibilities and had the opportunity to test out a beauty basket courtesy of Arm & Hammer through a Mom Central Blog Tour campaign.
The Beauty Basket included:
- A box and designer shaker of Arm & Hammer Baking Soda
- How-to's to recreate your spa treatments at home
- An aromatherapy candle
- Organic tea bags and a tea cup to create a spa experience
- A nail kit
- Nail polish
- Organic body lotion
- Lavender oil for a manicure/pedicure
- Terrycloth hair wrap
- Organic wash cloth for a facial

Hand Cleanser

I rarely take time to soak my feet, or do much else than pull my hair up in a pony tail. So, I took this opportunity to take some time for myself. I decided to try the Home Pedicure Foot Soak first. It was not only super easy to do, but felt great! This is definitely something I'm going to continue doing.
I also tried one not mentioned above, which was hair care.
Get rid of product buildup by sprinkling a small amount of Arm & Hammer Baking Soda into your palm along with your favorite shampoo. Shampoo as usual and rinse thoroughly. The Arm & Hammer Baking Soda helps remove the residue that styling products leave behind so your hair is cleaner and more manageable.
I don't use a lot of styling products in my hair, but having done this I did feel like my hair was more clean. It was very easy to do...and being able to use the designer shaker of Arm & Hammer Baking Soda rather than the box was perfect for the shower.
One other that I keep coming back to is the Natural Deodorant. I have fairly sensitive skin, and I know something like this would be good for me, but I just have not gotten around to trying it out yet. The Beauty Tip booklet says to dust Arm & Hammer Baking Soda under arms as needed to feel fresh all day. It will actually absorb odors instead of just covering them up. This makes sense, as I use baking soda to absorb odors around the house. It's definitely one I want to try.
I have been really impressed with how well I've liked trying out these beauty treatments. For just pennies you can have spa-like beauty treatments at home with Baking Soda. It's more natural, and in my opinion...better for my skin than many of the products I've been using. Not only that, but it's affordable. With countless uses for under $1, no other product does more throughout the home. I'm definitely going to continue trying new things with Arm & Hammer Baking Soda.
I know that I use Soda almost every day for one thing or another.I just wanted to know of any new ideas. I am 80 years old.
My children and great children do call and ask what can I use to take this out or clean.Hammer baking sode is mostly my first answer.
Thank You
