Crocs Tone Flat Shoes Review

Posted by Jenna | Wednesday, December 08, 2010

As a busy mom I don't have a lot of time for exercising (some of it's motivation too). When it comes to losing weight or toning up, I want something that's easy and convenient. That's why I've always been curious about toning shoes. Do they really work?! Although watching commercials and seeing them in stores has always peeked my interest, I've never broke down and bought a pair because they all look like toning shoes. It's something I'd rather be a bit more discreet...which is why I loved the idea of the new Crocs Tone shoes.

Crocs Tone delivers the benefits of toning with the comfort of crocs. The innovation lies in the three-part patent-pending crocs tone sole:

  • Sculpted outsole creates a rocker-effect while you walk that initiates key muscle activity to provide toning benefits.
  • Toning ring provides stability and support.
  • Comfortable, lightweight croslite™ footbed provides all-day comfort
  • Signature Crocs' holes on vamp allow for breathability and Jibbitz™ charms personalization.
  • Circulation nubs in the footbed deliver a massage-like feel.
  • Super lightweight Croslite™ material provides all day comfort from heel to toe.
I'm a big fan of Crocs and own a couple pair of their shoes that I absolutely love. The quality is fantastic and the comfort level is amazing. That's why I was excited when asked if I'd like to review the new Crocs Tone shoes...not to mention that I was very curious if they actually 'tone'.

I was sent the Crocs Tone Skylar Flat in the Watermelon/Oyster Color to review.

When they arrived, I was immediately impressed with the way they looked. They were stylish, cute...and best of all... did NOT look like a toning shoe. As with the other Crocs shoes I've had in the past, these are great quality and made with super lightweight Croslite material.

I was excited to try them out. As I put them on the sculpted outsole which creates a rocker-effect while walking definitely took some getting used to. However, I have to admit that I could feel it working extra muscles in my legs the more I wore them. This is what provides the toning benefits. Although I haven't seen any major results in the time I've been wearing them, I do feel like they're giving me an added workout compared to not wearing them at all. Just in walking around the house doing my daily tasks I can feel it. SO easy and convenient!

Overall I have found them to be very comfortable. The Croslite footbed is soft and the circulation nubs in the footbed deliver a massage-like feel. Wearing them around the house and out and about has been great.
I have been very happy with the Crocs Tone shoes. I am amazed that I actually do feel them working my muscles (I really had doubts that I would). They're comfortable, stylish and something I am able to wear with many of the outfits I wear. I wasn't sure how I'd like the slingbacks, but they are great! I can easily slip them on and off...and they don't move around or slip at all. Once again, Crocs did not disappoint.

I'd highly recommend checking out Crocs Tone shoes for yourself! Available in 5 colors (and a clog or flat style), you're sure to find one that suits you (or possibly someone on your Christmas list) perfectly!
