The holidays are a great time for fun, family, quiet nights by the fire, watching the snow fall, candles burning the scents that remind you of Christmas and what a joyful time of year it is, etc....but it also means very cold weather (at least when you live in the Midwest like I do!). Thankfully, Zippo is there to warm up your holidays both inside & out this year with their great line of products.
Zippo sent us their Hand Warmer, Candle Lighter and Zippo Lighter Fluid to review.
As a child I remember playing in the snow with my brothers, never thinking twice about the cold weather. Now, although I do enjoy watching my kids build snowmen and make snow angels, the cold temps are not something I'm particularly fond of anymore. I don't have the best circulation in my hands, so they especially get cold when we're outside. That's why I was excited about the Zippo Hand Warmer. Thanks to Zippo my time outside now can be warmer this holiday season (and the whole winter through).

With winter officially here (having over 15 inches of snow on the ground and more falling as I write this), I was excited to try it out. After reading the user-friendly instructions, I had the hand warmer ready to go in just a few easy steps.
1. Using the included filter cup, fill the hand warmer with Zippo lighter fluid (the first time you have to put a bit more in)
2. Light the burner on top with a lighter
3. Replace the lid
4. Slide the hand warmer into the included fleece bag
The process was very simple. I did notice a slight smell when it was first lit, but it quickly disappeared. This may be how every hand warmer starts out...or my husband and I may have put too much in too.Once it was all set to go, I was curious if it would actually work. Would it really get warm enough to keep my hands warm? Would it last hours on end? Within in no time I had the answer to my first question. I held onto the Hand Warmer and felt it warming up. I was amazed at how toasty it kept my cold hands! I could see this coming in very handy for people who work outdoors, spend time outside with their kids, or those who like to hunt and fish this time of year. My husband is outdoors a lot for his job, so this is something he has especially enjoyed having on hand.
As far as staying warm for up to 12 hours...we tested it out and sure enough...it does! I am very impressed!! I am really happy to have had the chance to review the Hand Warmer from Zippo. The fact that it's reusable and so well-made lets me know it's something we'll be able to use for a long time.
When indoors, this is also the time of year I love to burn a candle or two. There's something warm and inviting about a flickering candle and the scents of Christmas. The problem is, I've never had a very good lighter to use. It's difficult to burn a candle when it's burned down quite a ways...and to be honest, none of the lighters I've used in the past are very nice looking. Not something I'd leave sitting out for people to see. That is, until I received the Zippo Candle Lighter to review.

The Candle Lighter is very sleek and one I don't mind having sit out by my candle on the counter. I never thought I'd say this about a candle lighter, but it's actually very elegant looking. I love it!
The best part is...it comes ready and is very easy to use! There's a child safety button which is a must and something I really appreciate! By pushing it in and pushing the switch...the light ignites. It has made lighting the candle I have so easy.
On the side there's a fuel-level indicator so I know when it needs more. At that point I can fill it up and continue to use it.
Overall we've been very happy with both the Zippo Hand Warmer and the Zippo Candle Lighter. Not only can you easily warm up your holidays both inside and out with Zippo this year, but anytime throughout the year. These products would make terrific gifts for many different occasion.
