With the holidays quickly approaching, I have been busy cleaning and getting organized. As I was going through our kitchen cupboards making sure I had everything to accommodate the guests we will have, I realized that over the years our collection of plates, bowls and cups has slowly dwindled. What used to be a full set, has become about half that due to breaking, etc....and what's left definitely shows wear in just the 5 1/2 years we've had it since we got married. I was in desperate need of something of better quality, a set that would hold up beautifully for years of continuous use. That's why I was excited when I came across Oneida!

I had heard of Oneida before, but had no idea how extensive their line of high quality products was. As I browsed their website for the first time I was amazed! With everything from flatware to drinkware...they have it all! I was especially drawn to their dinnerware and couldn't have been more excited to learn we were going to have the opportunity to review their Culinaria 16 Piece Dinnerware Set in A La Mode (4 dinner plates, 4 salad plates, 4 soup bowls and 4 mugs)!

I have had dinnerware, bakeware and other products shipped to me before...only to have some of the items cracked or broken by the time they arrived. I was pleased to find that all 16 pieces were in tact and absolutely perfect upon opening the boxes. YAY!
I was immediately impressed with the quality. Each piece is Fully Vitrified Stoneware, which is a high-fired, durable ceramic body with a glass-like finish. It's not only beautiful, but something I know will hold up beautifully for many years to come. Just in handling each piece I can tell they're well-made and much nicer than the partial set of dinnerware I have now.
The simplicity of this set is classic and timeless. And, although a solid color, there's a unique touch with the Circular banding and a Restaurant Rolled Edge that line the outer portion of this mid-rim shape, providing a pleasing tactile quality along with easy handling. I've noticed they are even easy to hold when my hands are wet.
I really like that the Oneida offers a broad color palette, making it easy for me to customize my set in a way that's unique and my own. That's one of the reasons why I chose the more neutral, A La Mode color. I thought it would be easy to mix and match in the future with Culinaria's other great colors.
It's great knowing I can conveniently add to my collection with the available 4 pc place settings as well as the individual dining and accessory components available to complete my set.I also appreciate the fact that each piece is dishwasher and microwave safe. This is a must when it comes to dinnerware in my opinion...it's easy and convenient. There is also a 3 year no-chip warranty.
In the time we've been using our Culinaria 16 Piece Dinnerware Set from Oneida, we've been very pleased! I am proud to have family and friends over to eat now that we have this beautiful set. No fading, no cracks or chips...it's perfect! It truly heightens our eating enjoyment and the color even helps to enhance the appeal of food. I look forward to adding to my set with bold pops of color from the Culinaria line of products, as well as checking out the other great kitchen accessories Oneida offers in the future.I would highly recommend checking Oneida out!
