Infantino Test Drive Program - Annabel Karmel Food Making Accessories

Posted by Jenna | Thursday, November 11, 2010

Making my kids' baby food is something I always wanted to do. When Kaelyn was a baby I tried it out, and after realizing how incredibly easy it is....I've been hooked ever since. It's not only a great way to save money, but more importantly...gives me peace of mind knowing what is going into the food they eat.

Neither Kaelyn or Kaden eat pureed foods anymore (other than things like applesauce of course), however, I still try to steam their veggies and prepare their fruits ahead of time whenever I can. That's why I was looking forward to the opportunity to test out Annabel Karmel's Food Making Accessories as part of the Infantino Test Drive Program through Mom Central.

I was very excited to open the box and find all 7 of these great products waiting for us to use and review!
The package included:

  • Fresh Food Mill
  • Frozen Tray
  • Fill & Freeze Puree Pops
  • Double Decker Meal Box
  • 6 Stackable Meal Pots
  • Mash & Serve Bowl
  • Steam Release Micro Bowl
A few weeks ago I shared with our experience using the Fresh Food Mill, Freeze Tray, and Fill & Freeze Puree Pops and how much we like them. With continued use I find myself loving them more and more!

We've also gotten a lot of use out of the Double Decker Meal Box, 6 Stackable Meal Pots, Mash & Serve Bowl, and Steam Release Micro Bowl!

The BPA-Free, Micro-cook Dish stood out to me right away. Making food in the microwave is actually a great way to help retain all the nutrients and ensures healthy cooking for babies....so this was something I was particularly interested in testing out.

The lid has an easy valve system to let the steam out of the container. We have found that it does a great job and works great for steaming/cooking fruit and vegetables. It can also be used with fish.

What makes it even more convenient is that it's also dishwasher and freezer safe. That means I can easily take whatever it is I'm cooking and freeze it in the same container. Then, when we're finished, throw it in the dishwasher.

Finding a good way to store baby food is a must...especially when we're on the go. That's why I was extremely excited to see the Double Decker Meal Box and the 6 Stackable Meal Pots!

The Double Decker Meal Box is incredibly handy. It allows us to store Kaden's finger foods in it easily.

The double layer box ensures that the food doesn't get squashed which is something I also really appreciate about it.

What makes this product especially unique is that it comes with plasticware spoon and fork. It's never been easier for us to stop and feed Kaden when we're out shopping or at a restaurant. Whether we're in the car, out to eat, or somewhere else...the Double Decker Meal Box makes mealtime so easy!

Like the other Annabel Karmel products, this is also BPA Free and dishwasher safe!

I also love the 6 Stackable Food Pots! They are brightly colored and attractive in appearance. They are the perfect size for storing baby food and can easily be placed in the freezer to have individual portion sizes on hand. We have already gotten a lot of use out of them.

I love that the pots are see-through so that I can tell what foods are in what and easily grab the one I need. They also clip together for easy storage which is really nice too.

When it comes to baby food, there is a time when it's necessary to make it a little thicker and not as pureed. A blender doesn't do a very good job at this, which is why I appreciate the Mash & Serve Bowl so much. It beats using a fork which is what I've always done in the past.

It works great with fruits and steamed veggies, and would be perfect for those who need instant baby food (maybe when you're away from home). By simply mashing up something like a banana and adding a little breastmilk or formula you have your babies meal all ready to go. This is a product I really wish I had when both kids were younger.

Overall I've been very impressed with the Annabel Karmel Food Making Accessories. They're extremely high quality, easy to use and best of all...make it possible to continue to make fresh, healthy meals for my kids.

Also, if you haven't visited the Infantino website recently, you may want to take a moment and do so. They've launched a brand new website this month and I for one, love it! You can also connect with Infantino on Twitter and Facebook.

Thank you so much for sharing this. I have been looking for a bowl like the Micro-cook Dish. Tupperware made them but I haven't been able to find any...I will go look a Infantino.
