Smucker's Uncrustables Sandwiches Review

Posted by Jenna | Thursday, September 23, 2010

For families on the go, it can often be difficult coming up with wholesome snack ideas and go-to options for lunch. I know for me, lunch is one of the hardest meals to plan. It's nice to have something that's convenient, and sometimes that means leftovers. However, most days, I am left with the same question 'what should we have for lunch?'. That's why I was very happy when introduced to Smucker's Uncrustables.

Smucker's Uncrustables sandwiches provide parents with an easy, on-the-go lunch or snack. Between the convenience of being able to thaw and serve them and the tasty PB & J, these are sure to be a hit, and something everyone in the family will appreciate. They are available in five different flavors: Peanut Butter & Strawberry Jam, Peanut Butter & Strawberry Jam on Whole Wheat, Peanut Butter & Grape Jelly, Peanut Butter & Grape Jelly on Whole Wheat, and Peanut Butter & Honey on Wheat Bread.

Kaelyn loves PB & J, so I was more than thrilled when I learned I was going to have the opportunity to participate in the Smucker's Uncrustables Blog Tour through Mom Central. We received a coupon to try one of the tasty flavors, and decided to go with the Peanut Butter & Grape Jelly Sandwiches.

All we had to do was simply take out the individually wrapped Uncrustables that you need, let them thaw for a while, and then serve them. It's that simple!

Although they were super easy to 'prepare', my biggest question was, 'are they great tasting'? The answer...delicious. Our family loves them. I think they have that homemade taste, without the crust (which is something Kaelyn would prefer not to eat anyways). My little girl who doesn't eat a lot, ate this whole sandwich in no time! I was impressed.

The bread is very soft and fresh, and the peanut butter and jelly taste great! It really tastes like a homemade PB & J sandwich. While I don't think we'll give up making PB & J sandwiches all together, these have been great to have on hand, especially when my jar of PB has just been used up or the bread has gone bad already.

We also had the opportunity to try out Smucker's Snack n' Waffles. Waffles are one of Kaelyn's (and Kaden's) favorite things to eat for breakfast. That's why I knew these would be very well received by both of them!

We received a coupon to try the flavor of our choice, and decided to go with the blueberry. These aren't your typical 'blueberry waffles'...as you can actually taste the blueberry and it's great! Also, there's no need for syrup, because it's baked right in.

Being the chocolate lover that I am, I'd love to try their Chocolate Chip Snack n' Waffles next!

We were very pleased with both the Smucker's Uncrustables and Smucker's Snack n' Waffles, and will definitely be trying more flavors. If you're looking for convenient snack and lunch options, you may want to check out these products!

**I wrote this review while participating in a blog tour campaign by Mom Central on behalf of Smucker’s and received products necessary to facilitate my candid review. In addition, I received a gift certificate to thank me for taking the time to participate. The opinions and experiences of others may differ from my own**

While these may be "easy", I would have to say I would rather whip out a sandwich for a fraction of the cost with ingredients that have less preservatives. Sorry!
