Marpac Dual-Speed SleepMate Sound Machine from Fabove ~ Review & Giveaway

Our daughter has always been a pretty sound sleeper. Ever since she was a baby, there could be noise going on around her and she'd continue to sleep right through it. Kaden however, is not as sound of a sleeper. He wakes up to the smallest of noises and then has a difficult time falling back to sleep. We weren't sure of the best way to help block out the distracting noises around the house (like us talking or the having the television on) so he could sleep better. Thankfully, Fabove.ca came to the rescue.

When the Marpac SleepMate Sound Machine arrived I couldn't wait to check it out. I was immediately impressed with the size. With just a 5 3/4" base diameter and 3 1/4" height...this is the perfect size to set on a dresser, desk or even take with us when traveling.

I could tell right away that this machine is very durable. Although lightweight, it's made well and I know is something that will last us a very long time.

Of course I couldn't wait to see what it sounded like. I plugged it in and turned it on to find a very soothing, consistent sound of rushing air (also referred to as 'white noise'). Not only could I control the speed, but also the tone and volume of the sound. By simply rotating the 'cap' (which is the top piece) and the 'collar' (on the sides) I could increase or decrease the sound to a level that is best suited for Kaden.


We have been using it in Kaden's room and really think it's been helping him sleep more soundly, especially during his naptime when everyone is up and making noise. We even tried it in our bedroom one night to see what we thought, and both my husband and I were impressed with how well it diminishes surrounding noises to help us sleep better without any distractions. We are very happy with the Marpac Dual-Speed SleepMate Sound Machine and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a way to control unwanted noise so you can sleep/relax/study better. I think it is especially useful with infants, children, restless sleepers and those who live in college dorms or apartment settings.
