The Global Diaper Bag from Lassig ~ Review

Posted by Jenna | Friday, July 23, 2010

Since becoming a mom, I find that I carry a diaper bag more than I do my own purse even. This means that I not only need it to be a convenient size to hold everything (not too large and not too small), but also for it to be stylish as well. I am always on the lookout for something that is functional, fashionable, and will make life easier. That's why I was thrilled when introduced to LASSIG!

It was when founders, Claudia and Stefan Lassig realized the need for cool and modern diaper bags that Lassig was born in early 2007. They are a newer, funky brand that's playful, natural and fun-loving...great for moms who are looking for something that's creative, functional and eco-friendly! They produce a variety of diaper bags, kids' bags and fashion forward maternity and nursing textiles that not only are fashionable and functional...but also safe for children. All bags are free of PVC, AZO dyes, cadmium and nickel.

I was very excited to learn that I was going to have the opportunity to review one of their products. The hard part was deciding which one! After quite a while of browsing their amazing selection of kids' bags, diaper bags and maternity textiles...I decided on the Global Bag in black and am so happy I did!

Features/Benefits:

  • Eco-friendly: no PVC, nickel, AZO dyes, cadmium, or phthalates
  • Well-organized inner compartments
  • Changing mat
  • Insulated bottle holder
  • Zip pouch
  • Wet pocket
  • Removable bottle holder
  • Includes hooks to attach to stroller
  • 100% nylon fabric
  • Measures 15.75" x 6" x 10.6"
  • Several colors available
When the bag arrived and I took it out of the box, I was already impressed. I love it even more in person than I thought I would! The nylon fabric with the 'quilted' look is absolutely stunning. Not to mention the fact that the size is PERFECT!

I was very excited to see all the room and extra compartments it offered once I began checking it out more. The largest compartment in the middle zips and has many well-organized inner compartments.

The side pockets are also a very nice size, easily accessible, and offer inner compartments as well.

I have had the chance to use the bag several times and continually receive compliments on it every time we're out. The moment I saw how much space it offered I knew it would be the perfect diaper bag to take with us to my sister-in-laws wedding last weekend. Not only is it stylish, but with all the things I knew we'd need to bring...I thought it would work out great! And, it did!

You would not believe how much stuff we were able to bring with us thanks to our Lassig Global Bag! I was able to pack enough diapers, wipes, extra clothes, changing mat, and toys for the whole day...not to mention makeup (which I stuck in the handy zip pouch), bottle of water, cell phone, snacks, and more. It was large enough to hold everything and with all the great compartments, I was able to keep it all oranized at the same time. Who could ask for anything more?!

I am thrilled with the Lassig Global Bag and wish I had it in every color! It's stylish, high quality, and roomy, which is why I can see it lasting us a very long time. What's great, is that even when we no longer have a need for a diaper bag...this super cute bag would make a great handbag or laptop bag.

I would highly recommend checking Lassig and their large selection of diaper bags, kids' bags and maternity textiles out. Whether you like casual, glam, or even vintage...they have a little of something for everyone.

Buy It: You can purchase the Global Bag from Amazon.com or BabyAge.com for $115.99.
