When the car seat arrived and I pulled it out of the box I was amazed with the quality. I couldn't believe how incredibly soft and comfortable the car seat was. One of the best things about it is the Air Protect revolutionary side impact technology which reduces side impact forces through the precise release of air. Air Protect was engineered to defend children in two ways. The first is that it immediately shields your child's head from the impact. The second, is the that the Air protect allows air to escape from the headrest. It is this double layer of protection that makes it truly unique and different from any other car seat we've used or seen.


I really appreciate the fact that the onBoard 35 Air Infant Car Seat is made to grow with baby too! In the rear-facing position the car seat can be used with a baby as tiny as 4 lbs on up to 35 pounds and 32 inches in height! This is made possible by offering 17% more leg room than most infant car seats and a harness designed to fit preemies. I love that there is a customizable insert and the fact that there are low harness slots and high ones to ensure the perfect fit for your little one.

I loved everything about the carrier, but couldn't help but wonder how easy it would be to install. We've tried car seats in the past that took forever to figure out. Thankfully, installing the onBoard 35 Air Infant Car Seat was a piece of cake! I really appreciate the base belt lock underneath that easily secures the seat belt during installation.

It also offers a 3-position recline base which makes finding the correct rear facing angle very easy. There is an angle indicator on the side that lets us know when it's positioned correctly. When the little ball is in the right 'weight zone' we are all set.



I have been so impressed with the many features this carrier offers to help keep my baby safe while in the car. Everything from the way it is installed to the features of the seat it self help put my mind at easy when we're traveling.

Kaden is getting pretty big, even for being nearly 8 months old. Thanks to the specially designed Carry Curve handle, it is still comfortable for us and him when we carry him between the car and wherever we're going. Safety 1st definitely had both baby and parent in mind when designing the OnBoard 35 Air!
