From the moment I became a mom, my camera has been within arms reach no matter where we are. You just never know when you're going to want to capture a memory. I love taking pictures of my kids, however, I have to admit that pictures rarely make it past my computer desktop. I have the best intentions of getting them ordered and printed out...but to be honest, finding the time is not always easy. It's always been a dream of mine to have a printer that could give me the quality of printed pictures without having to order them somewhere and being able to print them from home when I have the time. Thanks to Epson, that is now possible!

Epson sent us their Artisan 810 All-in-One Printer to review.

When the Epson Artisan 810 All-in-One printer arrived I was very excited! We've owned several printers over the years, and none even came close to offering all that this one does. When I opened the box I was very impressed with it's modern look. It's very attractive and something I don't mind having sit out for people to see. One thing I didn't like about the printer we were using, was the fact that when the paper was loaded, it always showed. The Epson has a paper tray that slides in so it is hidden, which gives it a much nicer, more sleek look.

It is a pretty big printer, but considering all it has to offer, this did not surprise me. It still fits nicely on my desk which is what I was hoping for.

When I began to take everything out of the box, I have to admit I was a little concerned about how difficult it would be to get all set up and ready to use. My hubby is much better with things like this, so I decided to wait so he could help me tackle that job. Thanks to the easy to follow instructions, we had it ready to use in no time! I was really surprised how simple it was to put the ink cartridges in, connect it to our wireless network and install the software to my computer.

Right away, one of my favorite feature of this printer is the fact that it has a smart, 7.8" touch panel! This makes it easy to use all the creative features of the Artisan 810 and displays only the buttons that are available for the project I'm am working on. Needless to say, it's perfect for someone like me who is not always the most tech savvy. I love that it is adjustable. By simply lifting the panel it raises it. To lower it, all we have to do is press the unlock button.

The touch panel is not only easy to use, but makes it possible to do things such as view, edit and restore faded photos, or print CDs and DVDs without a computer! I was really curious to see how it all worked, so one of the first things we did was popped in our memory card and printed off one of the pictures of Kaden and I! I was floored with how professional and perfect it printed out using the Epson Premium Photo Paper Glossy. It was SO simple to do, and I had my picture printed within seconds. It was amazing and has me thinking this is definitely the way to get my pictures printed off in a timely manner.

The following is the picture it printed. It does not even do the quality of the printing justice, but hopefully you can see that there are no lines in the ink like you can get with other printers. I thought the glossy paper really gave it that professional look too.

We've had the chance to play around with the different things it can do and are very impressed. Epson was kind enough to send us a variety of different kinds of paper to try as well as project samples to get an idea of what it all can do.

We used the scanner some and were surprised with the quality. I think it's so neat that it has automatic two-sided printing. This not only makes printing out a number of copies easier, but it also saves on paper.

Aside from its ability to scan and print, it can also do unique projects like turn photos or drawings into one-of-a-kind coloring book pages and personalized note paper. We tried both and I was super excited to see the outcome. What a great feature to have! The following is an example of what we tried. We printed a picture of the kids out into a fun coloring book page as well as a personalized, lined note paper.

It also allows you to print custom CDs or DVDs with the Epson Print CD. We haven't done that yet, but I know this is something that will come in handy over time too.

The fact that it has Wi-Fi capability on top of the wired Ethernet networking is another HUGE plus for me. No matter where I'm at in our house on the computer, I can easily print without having to hook up my computer first. Following the instructions, it was very easy to install and use.

I am thrilled with the Artisan 810 All-in-Printer and would definitely recommend checking it out. In my opinion, Epson has thought of everything to make the most innovative, convenient, and easy to use all-in-one printer. It not only can print all of the pictures I take easily and professionally, but it offers many other features I could only before, dream of having. I truly can't believe I went so long without a printer like this. We've already gotten a lot of use out of it, and I know we will continue to over the years.
