Infantino Fold & Go Bouncer Review

Posted by Jenna | Thursday, June 10, 2010

When we were preparing for the birth of our son, we got out all the baby gear we had stored away from when our daughter was a baby. We were quickly reminded just how much space the large swings, jumpers and other things take up. I'm always on the lookout for less bulky baby gear that is easy to store and travel with. That's why I was super excited when we received the Infantino Fold & Go Bouncer as part of the Infantino Test Drive Program through Mom Central.
Features/Benefits:

  • Unique easy-to-fold, space saving design.
  • Includes plush seat, padded head support and waist harness.
  • Removable entertainment bar adjusts and includes two detachable toys!
  • Comforting bouncing action occurs with baby’s natural movement.
  • Machine washable seat cover.
  • Simple, no-hassle assembly!
  • Requires 3 "AA" batteries
  • For babies up to 25lbs (11.3kgs)
When the bouncer arrived I couldn't wait to get it put together and have Kaden test it out! Assembling it couldn't have been easier. In no time at all I had it snapped together, the cover on, the vibration/sound unit attached and the toy bar in place.

The size immediately impressed me. I love its simple design and the fact that it's not as bulky as other bouncers we've used in the past. It's extremely lightweight and very easy to move from room to room. My favorite feature would definitely have to be that it actually folds up into a compact and easy to carry bundle. LOVE IT!

The fact that it folds flat is a huge plus, not only for storage reasons, but also for travel. When Kaden was younger we carried his bulky bouncer with us to a motel. It would have been SO handy to have the Fold & Go Bouncer with us at that time. It would not have taken up nearly as much room in the car and would have been much more convenient for us to travel with. It's the perfect way to take a bouncer to Grandparent's houses or anywhere else we go!

Folding it down is quite simple as well! With the push of a switch and button, the seat slides down for easy carrying and storing.

The seat is plush and includes a removable head support for younger babies. Kaden wouldn't necessarily need to have it attached, but I leave it on for added comfort. It's neutral fabric is great for a boy or a girl, so it will be something we'll get much use out of over the years.

Kaden is getting old enough where it's difficult to get him to sit still for very long. He's currently determined to learn how to crawl, so I wasn't sure how much he would enjoy sitting in a bouncer. To my surprise, he absolutely loves it! He did not seem to mind the waist strap at all which is a great feature that helps ease my mind knowing that he's not going to roll out onto the floor.

His favorite part is definitely the removable/adjustable entertainment bar that includes two soft toys! The moment he saw those, he grabbed them and pulled them straight to his mouth.

The vibrating and sound options are also something he really likes. The moment the seat begins to vibrate he gets the biggest smile on his little face. The vibration/sound unit includes soothing vibrations, 3 nature sounds, 3 melodies and a volume control.

We have had the chance to use the Fold & Go Bouncer several times and absolutely love it for our 6 month old son! He enjoys the toys, music and vibration, while we appreciate its simple and compact design. Infantino definitely had both parent and baby in mind when creating this great product. It's unique from any other bouncer I've seen or used and one I will continue to recommend to others who have young children.

“I am a participant in a Mom Central campaign for Infantino and have received various Infantino products to review as part of my participation. This was not a paid post and my honest opinions have been given. The opinions of others may differ from my own.”

What a cutie! I love the picture where Kaden is like "What? I'm chewing on this!" and then the next one where he's so happy - he's definitely a good model for how much fun this bouncer is. :)
