Baby Genius Smile & Click Musical Camera Review and Giveaway

Posted by Jenna | Thursday, March 11, 2010

I recently had the opportunity to share with you the wonderful company, Baby Genius! For those who missed that review, Baby Genius is a company that offers music-based products that are entertaining, educational and beneficial to babies and young children. You'll find everything from CD's to Books...and most recently added, toys! Baby Genius introduced their new developmental toy line consisting of musically inspired role-play toys that incorporate all of the Baby Genius Characters!

I love all of their products, especially their new toy line which encourages creativity, role play and learning! What more could a parent ask for, right?! As I browsed through their selection of toys, it was quite difficult to find just a few that I thought would suit Kaelyn's interest...as almost all of them were something she would enjoy. However, I have to admit that when I saw the Smile & Click Musical Camera, I knew that it would be a hit!

We received the Baby Genius Smile & Click Musical Camera to review.

Kaelyn is very much into pretend play, and loves to copy the things she sees us doing....especially when it comes to taking pictures! Unfortunately that means she is often trying to get her hands on our expensive camera to 'take pictures' with it. That's why I was thrilled to see the Baby Genius camera and couldn't wait to see what she thought of it!

Ever since we received it in the mail she has hardly set it down. She loves to use it to 'take pictures' of her little brother as she says 'Say cheese Kaden'. Like the other Baby Genius products we've been able to test out, this one did not disappoint! It's very durable and offers so many great features!

  • Light up flash
  • Shutter sounds
  • Great size for little hands to hold on to
  • Music and fun sounds
  • Click and zoom lens
I think Kaelyn's favorite feature is probably the shutter sounds. It really makes her feel like she is using a real camera just like Mommy and Daddy. I love that she now has a camera to play with...it's neat to see her imagination at work!

The Smile & Click Musical Camera has a suggested age of 18+ months. I personally think it would be great for even younger children, as the music and other features would be great for sensory development and hand eye coordination. I would highly recommend this toy to any parent of a young child/toddler.
