Mealtimes can be crazy.  Sometimes I let my two and a half year old sit like a big boy in a dining room chair like everyone else, but I usually live to regret this decision.  The reality is that my son still eats a better meal when he is contained and doesn't have the temptation of constantly moving around.  I think everyone enjoys their meal more when this is the case.  So if only there was a good looking booster seat that fit my taste as well as provided a safe and comfortable seat for my child...

The Bentwood Booster Seat (Dark Stain) is a newly-released modern, child booster seat that is a great high chair alternative.  It is lightweight and stylish making it functional and good looking with any home decor.  The booster includes a cushioned seat, 3-position recline, and 3-position tray to provide comfort and support for a growing baby.  

The Bentwood Booster Seat includes chair straps to secure the booster to a chair both underneath and behind.  It also includes a 3-point safety harness that buckles across a child's lap and between their legs to keep them securely in place.

The seat cushion is very thin, however, the soft curve of the wood makes the booster seem comfortable for a child to sit in during a meal.  Plus, less padding means that the seat is easier to wipe down.  I also like how the padding can easily be taken off and thrown in the washing machine.

My son, Cameron, is nearing two and a half and probably almost outgrown booster seats, but for now, the Bentwood Booster keeps his squiggly body in one place during a snack or a meal.

I love how the Bentwood Booster looks stylish and not out of place with the rest of my home decor. The wooden back and silver plastic base looks great, but is still extremely lightweight and easy to transport.  The tray slides on and off easily and has a slick coating making it easy to rinse off after a messy meal.  It is also dishwasher safe, BPA free, and phthalate compliant.

Cameron is sitting in the most upright position, but younger toddlers and babies with less neck control would benefit from the reclining option.

The Bentwood Collection also consists of a high chair and a bassinet for those who enjoy this sleek, modern style.  Overall, this is a great booster seat with many desirable qualities.

All three of my kids love to be creative. It's one of my favorite things to sit back and watch them do! It's a big party of any child's development, and I love to encourage a love for creating in any way I can to help their imaginations grow even more! That's why I was excited when introduced to the new Magnetic Playsets from the award winning imagine i CAN play kit line from The Manhattan Toy Company! We have had the opportunity to review a couple of products from The Manhattan Toy Company in the past and have been impressed with the quality, age appropriate design of their products. That's why I was thrilled to learn more about the latest imagine I CAN Creative Kits and that we were going to have the opportunity to review one.

We were sent the Imagine I CAN Travel Time kit to review. 

This specific kit was one I knew my boys would especially like. They like all things having to do with transportation vehicles, so the moment it arrived, they were begging to check it out! 

I love that it comes in a great tin box with a carry handle. It's sturdy and something that isn't going to get smashed like a cardboard box does. It's also perfect for storing all of the pieces and carrying on the go! 

Of course, aside from the great tin, I  too was looking forward to checking out the 104 magnetic pieces and 4 paper background scenes inside! 

What's great about this set is that it allows kids to use their imaginations and engage in open-ended play! When given the opportunity to let their imaginations soar, kids don't get bored and want to play again and again. I LOVE that! 

My boys were drawn to the different background scenes. Once they decided on one, they simply positioned it inside of the tin and it was time to let the fun begin! They take the magnetic pieces to create such amazing pictures! It's so fun to see their creativity at work each time they pull this fun magnetic playset out! The sky is the limit to what they can create, which makes it even more fun...especially for my four year old! He loves it!

These kits were created for ages 3 years and up, but even my 2 year old (with supervision) enjoys it a lot! We are planning on traveling quite a bit this summer, so I looking forward to being able to take this kit with us in the car and the motels we stay in. It would also be great for a plane ride too!

Now that I see how great it is, I'd love to get the other two new imagine I CAN Creative Kits! 

The Character Mix-Up Kit looks great, and is one I have a feeling my daughter would adore! In this kit there are endless combinations of characters and creates with 101 magnetized pieces and 4 paper background scenes. Kids simply place the background scene on the inside of the tin box and then add the magnetic pieces to the scene however they wish. 

Fashion Friends is another one I know would be enjoyed by my kiddos, especially Kaelyn! Little fashionistas can enjoy making their fashion statement by mixing and matching outfit and accessory pieces. There are 85 magnetized pieces and 4 paper background scenes. 

No matter the magnetic playset, kids are sure to have a blast engaging in open-ended, creative play where they can use their imaginations and have fun!
