Knork Flatware 20 Piece Set Review & Giveaway

With tableware, I've come to the conclusion that it's better to spend a little bit more money and get high quality products that will last for many years, rather than buy cheap set after cheap set. When my husband and I were getting things ready for our holiday get togethers last month, we noticed that not only was our dinnerware set in pretty bad shape, but that our cheap flatware set had become about half the size of what it was when we got married due to breaking and bending. We have been in desperate need of something of better quality, which is why I am thrilled to have found Knork Flatware.

As Mike Miller sat eating with a group of friends, he realized that trying to eat a piece of pizza and slice it with a normal fork was not only a struggle, but felt uncomfortable. After seeing an employee cutting pizzas in the back with a pizza cutter and observing people of all ages using a regular fork, the idea for the Knork was born. Several years later, Mike took the first step and established parent company...Phantom Enterprises and pursued a patent by researching and developing a prototype.

In 2004, Knork Flatware came up with a matching place setting, which includes a steak/butter knife, place knork, salad knork, tablespoon, and teaspoon. Every piece is uniquely designed with comfort and stability in mind. They seek to enhance the dining experience by integrating a fork with the functionality of a knife built in. The Knork concept modernizes flatware and has produced the flatware of today....and tomorrow.

When the 20-piece Knork Flatware set arrived, I was immediately impressed with how everything was displayed. Many people receive flatware as wedding gifts, and I think this set is displayed beautifully and would be perfect for gift-giving.

Of course, just seeing the few pieces through the front of the box made me want to check out the full set! As I pulled everything out, I was very pleased with the quality. It's hand formed from a single solid bar of stainless steel and I could tell right away each piece is thick and will not bend or break. It's great to know that we now have flatware that will last us a long time!

I love the unique styling and look of the Knork Flatware. It's very attractive and something I'm proud to pull out when we sit down to eat as a family or have people over for dinner. I love the two tone finish with a glossy head and frosted handle!

Although modern and beautiful, what sets Knork apart from other elegant stainless steel flatware is obvious when used. As I said, the Original single Knork was created to provide a single utensil capable of utlizing the benefits of both cutting like a dinner knife and spearing like a fork, together as one...without a sharp knife edge. Having used the Place Knorks several times, I can tell you that they really do seem to cut through food much more easily, while still being safe enough (not sharp) for Kaelyn to use. The rounded, thinned tines create a beveled edge that allows you to cut through foods like steak, easily. The spoons also have a very nice rounded shape that make eating things like soup and cereal very simple.


The flatware is also comfortable to use. The finger platform provides comfort and leverage while using the fork to cut and works well for both right-handed and left-handed users.


I have noticed that the Knork Flatware is slightly heavier than what I'm used to...however, still very easy to use for the whole family. I can tell it's incredible quality and something that isn't going to bend like so many of our other flatware pieces have in the past. Each piece definitely seems more stable than any other flatware we've used and is designed for how you naturally eat. It's a new level of functionality for tableware and something I'm very happy to have found.

The flatware has been washing up beautifully as well. Knork flatware is dishwasher safe and being stainless steel, is also resistant to stain. Whether we wash it by hand or run it through the dishwasher...it comes out looking beautiful every time.

Knork Flatware has recently added to its line a serving set and a set of steak knives. They are continually expanding their product line and I can't wait to see what they come up with next!

Overall we've been very happy with the Knork Flatware we received. The quality is fantastic and something I know will last. It's unique design is also beautiful and practical....making it incredibly easy to use.
