I have a jewelry box full of necklaces, rings, etc...however, there are only a handful that I pull out to wear on a regular basis. These pieces are the ones that have sentimental value to me....a necklace with my kids' names on it or a ring my husband gave to me. This alloy replaces some of the copper with metalloid germanium to make it the most tarnish resistant sterling silver available. When I first came across Joseph Allen Designs, I was amazed with the large selection of beautiful hand stamped jewelry! When I learned I was going to have the opportunity to review a necklace from Joseph Allen Designs, I couldn't have been happier. I love personalized jewelry, and knew that I wanted to have a necklace representing the love I have for my husband. I was drawn to the hammered collection right away, and decided to go with the Happiness/Hammered Necklace and am so happy I did!

When the necklace arrived, I was already impressed with the way it came packaged. I love when companies take the time to present their products in such a personal way. My Joseph Allen Designs necklace arrived in a cute box with a beautiful bow on it. This box is perfect for keeping the necklace safe, and would also make it great for gift-giving!

Of course, I couldn't wait to check out the necklace. As I opened it, I was in awe. The Happiness/Hammered Necklace is even more beautiful in person than I thought it would be. The circular pendant is 1-1/2 inches in diameter...the perfect size! It's not too big, but large enough that people notice it right away and many often compliment how beautiful it is!

I was incredibly impressed with the quality of the Argentium Sterling Silver. It's thick and I can tell, very well made. This is definitely a piece that will last me for years to come, a hand stamped necklace I will cherish always!

I decided to go with the hammered finish, because it gives it a unique look and texture. I wanted something that would stand out and go with many of the things I wear. It's elegant and can easily be dressed up or down. I love it!

The best part about the necklace though, is what's on the pendant. I wanted it simple, yet meaningful...so I went with the word LOVE and asked to have my birthstone and my husband's birthstone set in the silver on each side of the word. It turned out great and is absolutely perfect. I have a lot of jewelry with my kids' names and birthstones on them, but nothing for my husband and I. That's what makes this necklace so very special, and something I have not wanted to take off since it arrived.

The pendant hangs on an 18 inch high quality, silver bead chain that completes the look. I love how easy it is to put on and take off, and couldn't be happier with the finished product! I am very thankful for the quality of Joe's work. I can tell a lot of time and care went into creating a personalized piece that would be everything I wanted and more! I have been extremely happy with this hand stamped necklace and will definitely be turning to Joseph Allen Designs in the future!
