Celebrating Mom #6: Kalorik Stand Mixer Review & Giveaway

When I was younger, my idea of a great gift was fashionable clothing, jewelry, electronics, etc. My how the times have changed! Now that I'm a homeowner, wife and mother...I enjoy more practical gifts. Things like kitchen appliances, home decor and items for my kids are on the top of my list. I am always on the lookout for items that are great quality and make my life easier. That's why I was excited when introduced to Kalorik!

Established in Belgium in 1930, Kalorik has become well known for its fine engineering and unique product development. As I browsed the Kalorik website for the first time, I was amazed with their great selection of products. As someone who spends a lot of my time in the kitchen, finding kitchen appliances and tools that are reliable, stylish and easy to use is important to me. With much of their product line consisting of great kitchen items, I couldn't help but be drawn to many of them. Whether you are looking for blenders, coffee makers, slow cookers, or something else...they have it all, and at great prices too!

When I learned we were going to have the opportunity to review one of Kalorik's great products, I couldn't have been happier. After much consideration, I decided to go with the Kalorik Stand Mixer and am so happy I did!

When the Kalorik Stand Mixer arrived on our doorstep, I couldn't wait to check it out.
Right out of the box, I was happy to see that there wasn't much assembly required. YAY!
Simply insert the beaters or dough hooks in the hand mixer and you're ready to go! In just minutes I had everything set up and ready to use. I love products that are versatile and have more than one purpose. The fact that this stand mixer is also a hand mixer is absolutely genius! For someone who doesn't have a great deal of storage space in my kitchen, I appreciate that it serves both purposes. I use the stand mixer most, but for things like mashed potatoes, I prefer the hand mixer. The stand mixer smoothly converts into a hand mixer for added ease of use and versatility. If you're using the hand mixer only, simply insert the beaters, plug it in, and you're ready to use it.

To use the stand mixer, press the bracket release button and rotate the support so that it is in a vertical position. Then hold the appliance parallel to the support and slide the assembled hand mixer into place. Once you hear a click, it means it's correctly placed and ready to use. It's as simple as that! I think this is one of the neatest features of this stand mixer and something that makes it stand out from any other stand mixer I've used.

I was also really impressed with the size. At 11.5 (L) x 8 (W) x 9.5 (H) in. it's really the ideal size. It's not too big, but large enough that I'm still able to do the baking I need to. I love that it can easily sit on my counter without taking up much room at all or can easily be stored in one of my cupboards. It's lightweight and easy to move around the counter or lift out of the cupboard.

It really has a stunning appearance too! I love the black with polished chrome accents and stainless steel bowl. It looks great with the rest of my kitchen decor and is something I'm proud to have sitting out on my counter for everyone to see!

I have had the opportunity to use the Kalorik Stand Mixer several times and am very happy with this convenient mixer! It easily mixes up everything from cake batter to cookie dough and suits my needs perfectly. There are five different speed settings for mixing, beating and whipping, plus a turbo function for extra power when needed. There's also a comfortable rubberized handle to prevent hand fatigue during heavy or long mixing tasks. Everything has been thought of to make this one of the most versatile, user-friendly mixers for any busy woman or man.

One thing that I did not expect, but really appreciate is that the 3 quart stainless steel bowl actually rotates while the beaters mix. It quickly and thoroughly gets whatever I'm mixing mixed and ready to bake.

After I'm done using the mixer, the beaters and bowl are easy to remove and can be thrown right into the dishwasher.

Overall I've been very happy with the Kalorik Stand Mixer. It's very convenient and easy to use which makes my time in the kitchen much easier and more enjoyable. If you're looking for a great Mother's Day gift, I would highly recommend this product!
