Mickey Mouse Clubhouse: Minnie's Masquerade DVD + Mickey Mote ~ Review

As I've said before, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse has always been a favorite around our household. It's wholesome, fun-filled, and educational. The interactive story lines never fail to hold Kaelyn's attention. She loves to get involved and help Mickey on his missions using the mousekatools! That's why I knew she'd be thrilled that we were going to have another opportunity to review the Mickey Mote along with Mickey Mouse Clubhouse: Minnie's Masquerade DVD!

We were sent the Minnie Masquerade DVD along with a Mickey Mote to review.

The package arrived and I knew Kaelyn would be excited the minute she saw what it included. I was right! She loves Minnie Mouse so the DVD was one she wanted to watch right away. Of course, what made this package even better was the fact that it contained the Mickey Mote - something she's enjoyed using in the past with our other Mickey Mote compatible DVDs. I think it's great that it comes as a package...now you can purchase your little one a great DVD along with the remote.

For those who aren't familiar, the Mickey Mote is a child-friendly handheld remote control, shaped like Mickey ears. Just the appearance alone is sure to captivate the interest of children of all ages! This handy little remote is not only perfectly sized for small hands and simple to use, but also allows for children to interact with their favorite Disney characters on a whole new level.

The Minnie Masquerade DVD can be watched/played in 3 different ways:
1. Discovery Mode Level 1 - Answer fun questions about colors, shapes and sizes using the Mickey Mote
2. Discovery Mode Level 2 - Move to a higher level with more challenging questions using the Mickey Mote
3. Auto Play - Enjoy Discovery Mode without use the remote.

Getting started with the Mickey Mote couldn't have been easier. You simply have to program the remote by following a few easy steps outlined at the beginning of the DVD. In no time it's ready to use.

We've tried all the levels, but level 1 seems to be perfectly suited for her age level. She really enjoys answering the questions. By pressing one of the four color-coded buttons on the device (yellow star, green circle, orange triangle or blue square) she clicked her responses.

Kaelyn absolutely loves using the Mickey Mote! She has so much fun, and little does she know...she's learning the entire time! It's allowing her to work on her fine motor skills, as well as skills like comprehension, memorization, recognizing colors and so much more!

What I love about the Mickey Mote is that it is something Kaelyn will be able to use for a long time. Having different Discovery Modes provides levels appropriate for 2 years old all the way up to 5 or 6. It always challenges her which means she doesn't get bored with it.

As for the Minnie's Masquerade DVD...it was a huge hit, just as I expected. It includes 4 playful Minnie-themed adventures previously seen on the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse TV show, a never-before-seen episode, and a free paper mask with festive embellishments that kids can personalize.
