Traveling is something we really enjoy being able to do during the summer months. I love our family trips and all the memories we have been able to make. The thing we're finding though, is that staying away from home used to be a lot easier when Kaelyn was small enough to sleep in a pack n' play. Now she is getting older and used to her big girl bed. We have tried letting her sleep with us when we're away from home, but this usually does not work very well as she is quite the wiggly sleeper. I have been on the lookout for a solution to make traveling with her easier, and thankfully, HearthSong has come to the rescue!

I was very excited to check out the Shrunks Kid-Friendly Airbed when it arrived. I was immediately impressed with the carrying bag that it comes in. This not only makes it easy to store, but also convenient to travel with. We've taken it with us to Grandma and Grandpa's house already and it's been very nice to have it in something like this.

I was a little worried that it would take a while to inflate, but it didn't. The included Rapid Foot Pump made it very easy and quick. Within a couple of minutes it was ready to use.
Once it was inflated, I could tell the quality was great! This is not like other cheaply made airbeds we've used in the past. It's great quality and something I know will last us a very long time.

I love the fact that there is a removable mattress instead of having it all one piece. This makes it easy to tuck the sheet snuggly around it...offering Kaelyn a comfortable night's rest when we're away from home. She loves it!

I really appreciate the 5" bumpers on the sides as well. This is probably my favorite feature! Kaelyn is used to having a rail on her bed, so having something will help keep her on the mattress and safe when sleeping is great! The size is perfect. She has plenty of room to sleep on it and I know it will work well as she continues to grow too.


We are very happy with the Shrunks Kid-Friendly Airbed and can't wait to use it more over the coming months and years. It's a convenient way to keep toddlers comfy and safe when sleeping away from home. Whether it's to use at Grandma's house, a sleepover, or on vacation...I would highly recommend checking it out for families with little ones.

I'm always looking for ways to make drinking water more healthy for myself and my family. That's why I was thrilled when I learned we were going to have the opportunity to review the Zuvo Water Filtration System.

When it arrived, I was immediately impressed with its sleek and modern design. It's a little larger than I expected, but I love that it can still easily sit on the counter or be hooked up under the sink.

The Zuvo Water Purator connects directly to most standard faucets, but we found that it did not work with the faucet we currently have in our kitchen. Under-counter installation is easy and possible, but we will need to get a Zuvo Butler Faucet to connect it correctly. In the mean time, we were able to connect it to our bathroom faucet which worked great! I was a little nervous it would be difficult to hook up, but I couldn't have been more wrong. By simply connecting the Zuvo Water Filtration System directly to the faucet and plugging it in, we had clean, great tasting water in no time!

Here is a quick clip of how it works. It's so simple, and neat to watch. You can actually see the water bubbling in a blue UV light and getting cleaner right before your eyes.


Basically tap water runs through the Zuvo Water Filtration System using a five-step process to help produce clean, healthy water from the tap.

Step 1: Ozonation - mixes ozone with incoming tap water to treat taste and odor contaminants

Step 2: Ultraviolet Light - ozone saturated water is flooded with high-intensity UV light

Step 3: Photo-Oxidation - combines UV and ozone in a patented process known as photo-oxidation which releases powerful oxidizers to further treat the water.

Step 4: Filtration with lead removal - passing water through a Class 1 Particulate Reduction Filter, reducing chlorine taste and odor, lead, and tiny particulates.

Step 5: Post Filtration UV - filtered water is again exposed to high-intensity UV light as it leaves the Zuvo Water Purator.

My father-in-law lives on a farm with well water. My hubby has always said that the water has a different taste and does not look very clean. We knew the Zuvo Water Filtration System would be put to the test here especially...and took it over to his house to try it out. As with our house, we simply connected the Zuvo Water Filtration System to the faucet and plugged it in. After turning on the water, we watched as it worked its magic.

We were amazed with the results! Below is a picture of the water before using the Zuvo Water Filtration System and after. You can see the discoloration of the contaminated water and how clear and clean the water was after.

If you visit my blog often, you know that I love summer and being able to enjoy the warm weather with my family as much as possible. One of our favorite things to do is spend time in the water, which means finding a swimsuit...even for me. The thing is....with each year that passes, swimsuit shopping becomes less and less enjoyable. Not only is it difficult to find the quality I'm looking for at a reasonable price, but finding something that is stylish and that fits well is next to impossible it seems. It was at that moment the thought came to mind, "Why don't I make my own swimsuit?". After a lot of trial and error, she began creating swimsuits that were comfortable, stylish and flattering! As she made suits for her friends and family....word started spreading and she ended up being able to design a line of swimsuits for the 2010 season. I was very excited when I learned I was going to have the opportunity to review a swimsuit from Essential Swimwear! The hard part was deciding which one! They have so many great choices...all of which are super cute. After quite some time of browsing through their selection, I decided to go with the Ocean Waves Ruffles Halter Top and the Aqua Basic Bottoms, and am so happy I did!

When the swimsuit arrived, I was very impressed as I pulled it out of the package! The aqua color is beautiful, and the quality is great. I knew this was going to be something that would last me a long time...even with all the use it will get summer after summer!

When it came time to try it on, I was a little nervous. I always get nervous about trying on swimsuits. More times than not, I find myself discouraged by the unflattering fit. Thankfully, I was very happy with the way this swimsuit from Essential Swimwear fit. The top is the PERFECT length! I want and need something that will keep me covered and not ride up. That's why I appreciate the longer length SO much!

The bottoms fit great too. They cover me well and are not too tight, yet not too loose. For both the top and the bottom, I thought the size chart was accurate and I am very happy with the sizes I decided to go with.

I have had the chance to wear this suit several times and am very happy with it. I love that it fits well and is stylish, fun, and high quality.

I don't shop for myself very often, but when I do, I like to find clothing that is stylish and comfortable at the same time. It's fun to be fashionable, but comfort is a must when running after two kids all the time. That's why I was excited when introduced to VeronicaM and her amazing collection of women's clothing!

As I browsed the VeronicaM website, I was impressed with the unique styles and prints. They were fun, stylish and something I could see myself wearing and feeling good in. I was thrilled when I learned I was going to have the opportunity to review one of their pieces! It was not easy deciding on just one, as there are many choices that I thought were great. However, I decided to go with the Keyhole Mini Dress and am so happy I did!


When the Keyhole Mini Dress arrived, I couldn't wait to try it on. As I pulled it out of the packaging, I was amazed with how soft it is. I just love the lightweight material and knew it was going to be a very comfortable dress. I was right! The moment I put it on I knew it was going to be a dress I could wear in all different kinds of situations both dressy and more casual.

I really like the style and how it fits too! I don't like for things to fit too tightly across my stomach, which is why the blouson fit of this dress is so great and much appreciated!

The fact that it's a year round look is another reason I chose it. I like to be able to wear the clothes I own throughout the year. The three quarter sleeves and ability to wear a pair of leggings underneath makes that possible with this dress. Yay! I have already had the chance to wear it a couple times and look forward to wearing it a lot more!

I would highly recommend VeronicaM Clothing for anyone looking for high quality, stylish clothing that you can feel comfortable wearing. I love so many of their pieces and would really like to have the Kimono Mini Dress and Dolman Top at some point. Aren't they cute?!

With summer comes a lot of time spent outdoors playing in the water. Although fun, it also means a lot of money spent on those expensive disposable swim diapers! I was a little worried that they may be loose around his legs or waist, but any concerns I had were put to rest the moment I put them on him! What I love most about the Swim Nappy from Bambino Mio, is the fact that no other diaper is required to be worn with it. When we're heading out to the pool...all I need to do is slip Kaden in one of the swim nappies and we're ready to go. It's so convenient and so much more affordable than the disposable swim diapers!

Oh, and did I mention how adorable they are?!

Unlike the disposable swim diapers we had been using, the Swim Nappy does not hold water and weight him down. They remain lightweight and comfortable even when he is in water.

One of our favorite things to do outdoors as a family is spend time in the water. Whether it's a trip to the lake or fun in our kiddie pool in the backyard...it's such a fun and refreshing way to enjoy those hot summer days. Thanks to Prime Time Toys, we've been able to enjoy water play in a different way with their Big Top Spin 'n Splash Sprinkler that they sent us to review.
When the Big Top Spin 'n Splash Sprinkler arrived, I was very impressed with the quality. This was something I knew would provide hours of fun for Kaelyn and our family. I knew this would be something she'd love, and I was right!

This isn't your ordinary sprinkler...there are so many fun features that make him so unique and fun for little ones. The three misting nozzles at the base of the sprinkler release the perfect amount of water...not too little and not too much. Kaelyn loves running through it.

To add to the fun, the elephant spins and at random intervals shoots water out of its trunk. Not knowing when he'll squirt her has been Kaelyn's favorite part for sure! She loves running around it in circles just waiting for him to squirt.

We love the Big Top Spin 'n Splash Sprinkler from Prime Time Toys and have thoroughly enjoyed the hours of fun it has provided our family so far. It's very easy to set up and take down and such a fun thing for us to do on a hot day. I will definitely be looking into getting the kids other great summer toys from Prime Time Toys in the future.
