Del Monte Fruit Burst Squeezers ~ Review & $50 Walmart GC Giveaway

With the school year in full swing, we've been busy with a full schedule including school, after-school activities and church. All of these things keep us busy and on the go during the week making it difficult to fit in proper nutrition when it comes to snacks! I am always on the lookout for more nutritious snack ideas that can be taken with us wherever we're going, and was happy when introduced to Del Monte and their new Fruit Burst Squeezers.

 Whether you need a delicious after-school snack or a new lunch box favorite...Fruit Burst Squeezers offer 1 1/2 servings of fruit (or fruit and veggies) are a delicious and healthy choice. They are an excellent source of vitamins A and C and contain no artificial flavors or high fructose corn syrup.

We were sent a kit with 5 samples of Del Monte Fruit Burst Squeezers to test out for ourselves. There's two varieties:

              Fruit + Veggie Varieties:

-          Peach-Mango: Pear puree concentrate, water, pumpkin juice concentrate, peach puree concentrate, pear juice concentrate, carrot juice concentrate, carrot puree, mango puree concentrate, natural flavors, ascorbic acid (vitamin C), citric acid.

-          Blueberry: Pear puree concentrate, water, pumpkin juice concentrate, pear juice concentrate, natural flavors, carrot puree, blueberry puree concentrate, fruit and vegetable extracts for color, ascorbic acid (vitamin C), citric acid.

Simply Fruit Varieties:

-          Apple Cinnamon: Pear puree concentrate, water, apple puree concentrate, pear juice concentrate, natural flavors, ascorbic acid (vitamin C), cinnamon, malic acid.

-          Mixed Berry: Pear puree concentrate, water, pear juice concentrate, natural flavors, strawberry puree, red raspberry puree concentrate, blueberry puree concentrate, fruit and vegetable extracts for color, ascorbic acid (vitamin C), malic acid.

-          Strawberry: Pear puree concentrate, water, pear juice concentrate, strawberry puree concentrate, natural flavors, carmine, ascorbic acid (vitamin C), malic acid.

When the box arrived, my kids were all eager to give them a try! Over the course of five days, we were asked to try each of the squeezers capturing all the times we enjoyed them in photo.  We have found that they give the school year a fresh burst of life and make finding more nutritious snack choices a lot easier!

They make a wonderful after-school snack! Kaelyn always comes home from school hungry and asking for a snack. Whether we're home or on the go, these Fruit Burst Squeezers have been wonderful. Kaelyn loves fruit and thinks having them in the form of a squeezer is so much fun. After she had one the first day, she came home from school the following day asking for another one!

Since we are on the go a lot, we tested one out in the car. Kaelyn, myself and my mom were headed for a day of shopping and baby showers so I grabbed one of our Fruit Burst Squeezers for a snack. I knew Kaelyn would get hungry in the car, as we had a ways to drive. It was so easy to hand her the squeezer and let her eat the snack right there in the vehicle. It was easy for her to eat and not messy. YAY! 

I have also found that these are the perfect size to pack right in with her lunch when she takes it to school. I like to give her fruit of some kind and this is a really easy way to do that. Not only is it nutritious, but she also loves it!! 

I have always thought of snacks like this as being a kid thing...but they can also be fun for a mommy treat as well! I like to sit down by myself or with one of my little ones and eat a snack. One night I decided to give a Fruit Burst Squeezer a try and was pleasantly surprised with the great taste. Yum!

There are so many situations where these make the perfect, convenient snack. Our favorite was just enjoying them outside in between playing. 

They're so easy to grab and eat wherever we are, nutritious and I love that the kids enjoy them and they're not messy! Really, what more could a parent ask for?! We love them!
