A Mom's Balancing Act: QuickSmart Easy Fold 3-in-1 Playard ~ Review

Playards are supposed to be convenient and portable...however, I have found that many are just the opposite. They are often heavy, bulky and difficult to put together making it more trouble than it's worth sometimes to travel with. W e've used the same playard with both Kaelyn and Kaden, and although it has worked out alright, it is quite large and wasn't the most ideal to travel with. That's why shortly before Caysen was born, we decided we wanted to look for something smaller and more compact and couldn't have been happier when introduced to more of QuickSmart's great line of products.

For those who have been reading here for a while, you know that I'm a big fan of QuickSmart. Around the time we were searching for a high quality, compact playard...we learned we were going to have the opportunity to review the QuickSmart Easy Fold 3-in-1 Playard and couldn't have been more excited.

With Caysen due just a week or so from when the 3-in-1 Playard arrived...it couldn't have come at a better time! Once we brought him home from the hospital...we were very eager to test it out!

Pulling it out of the box, both my husband and I were impressed with how compact it is and the travel friendly carry bag. Although most play yards fold down to a pretty nice size...we've always found that things like the bassinet and changing table don't fit in the bag. Needless to say, that's just more for us to carry. That's why we were thrilled that everything (including the bassinet AND changing table) fit in the convenient carry bag!

Not only that, but unlike other playards, this one is incredibly lightweight. At just 15.2 lbs, it's easy to haul and get in and out of the vehicle when we're traveling. I love it!

Of course, we couldn't wait to see just how easy this playard is to put together. After reading through the very user-friendly instructions...we were ready to get started and in just a minute or so we had the whole thing set up and ready to use. To open, we lifted the ends up of the cot until they locked into place, checking each upper leg folding lock is securely locked in place. We then set it up as a playard first and put the mattress fully down.

Once it was up, I was even more impressed with the size. It's a great size for almost any space, and as I mentioned before...is lightweight and easy to move around.

Using it as a bassinet and changing table is just as easy. To set up, we just placed the bassinet/change table into the cot and clipped the plastic hooks securely to the side rails. We then folded the cot mattress and placed it in the bassinet. It was that easy!

I love that the bassinet and changing table are one piece...something I hadn't seen with other playards.

We have Caysen currently sleeping in our bedroom until he starts sleeping longer at night, as it makes diaper changes and feedings easier. Instead of using a traditional bassinet, we've found it easiest to use the 3-in-1 playard from Quicksmart. It is such a nice size to have in our room, and best of all, it offers everything we need. The bassinet has plenty of space and the changing table has been great for diaper changes.

On the side of the playard, there's even a storage pocket that is quite large. It's great for keeping diapers and wipes handy at all times. I love it!

We've had to take the playard down a couple of times and have found that it's just as easy to fold down as it was to unfold. In just a few simple steps we had it folded down and put into the carry bag ready for travel.

Overall we've been extremely impressed with the 3-in-1 Playard from QuickSmart. The quality is fantastic, and the convenience and user-friendly features make it one of the nicest I've come across. We've really enjoyed using it with Caysen so far, and know we'll be able to use it for years to come. I'd definitely recommend it to families with little ones.
