With September upon us, I can't help but think how quickly the next few months will go. Between my kids' birthdays, holidays and the birth of baby #3, the weeks are going to fly by. That's why I've already started to think about Halloween and what my kids are going to dress up as this year. Kaelyn is into all things girl right now, and has let it be known that a princess is the only thing she wants to be. When the costume arrived, I was excited to see what Kaelyn thought. I was impressed right away with the way this costume comes packaged. I love that it came in a reusable plastic bag that makes it easy to keep the costume in great shape until Halloween.
When Kaelyn set eyes on it, she was begging to try it on. Of course, I couldn't blame her. I wanted to see it too!! As I pulled it out of the package I was impressed with so many things. First of all, the outfit as a whole is very delicate and beautiful. It's really a very gorgeous costume. I absolutely love the baby blue color and the white & sparkle trim. It really sets this costume apart from other princess costumes I've seen. It even comes with a mini tiara which Kaelyn was tickled about it. It completes this adorable costume and has Kaelyn ready for the ball.
The quality of the costume is great, and the best part...it's long sleeves. Halloween in Iowa can be quite cold...and it's always nice to have the kids' arms and legs covered whenever possible. I was happy to see that this costume did just that. It will be perfect for the fall, brisk weather.
One thing I did notice was that it was not as full as the one pictured on the website. Kaelyn has no problem with this at all, but I think it would be even cuter had it been more full and 'princessy' at the bottom.
Overall, Kaelyn absolutely loves wearing the costume around. In fact, I think she'd wear it everywhere if we'd let her. It not only makes a great Halloween costume, but also a fun outfit for dress-up too. We're very happy with the Snowflake Princess Toddler Costume and know that it will last a very long time.
