Fun in the Sun #23: Prime Time Toys ~ Pool Toys Review & Giveaway

As a child my brothers and I spent much of our summer in the pool or doing something that involved water. You see, here in the Midwest we have very few months of nice weather. That's why we were all about soaking up the warmth while we could. My kids are no different than I was. The moment Spring hit, Kaelyn was asking us to get out her pool and sprinkler. Unfortunately we had to wait a bit longer for it to finally feel like summer...but that time has come and we're loving it! I'm always on the lookout for new outdoor toys and activities the kids can do together, which is why I'm thankful for Prime Time Toys and their latest pool toys!

I was first introduced to Prime Time Toys last summer when we had the opportunity to review their Big Top Spin 'n Splash Sprinkler! Impressed with the quality and overall fun it provided, I was excited to hear that this year, the company has expanded its Splash Bombs line with a new Splash Bombs Disc, Golf Set, Splash Sword, Battle Gear and new combo packs! These super-absorbent products can hold up to 10 times their weight in water and are a fun way to cool off in the pool or backyard.

As I looked over some of the great new pool toys from Prime Time Toys...a few jumped out as ones our family would really enjoy this summer. We were sent the Splash Golf, 6 Pc Splash Combo and Splash Disc to review.

When the products arrived, the weather was still pretty cold here in Minnesota. We had to wait a few weeks before we were able to test them out. Thankfully, it was well worth the wait...the kids absolutely love them!!

One of the first toys we were able to use was the 6-piece Splash Combo Set! This set comes with 2 Splash Pets, 3 Splash Cubes and 1 Splash Ring for target practice. Upon taking them out of the package, I was immediately impressed with the great quality of each piece.

The kids have been able to use the splash combo set at home in their kiddie pool, as well as at the local pool. They literally provide hours of fun and activity for them and what I love...is that they're great for children of all ages. They're recommended for ages 4+, but even my 19 month old son loves them!

Whether it be playing with the pets in the water, throwing the cubes to each other or trying to hit the splash ring...the uses for these are limitless. We love creative, open-ended play...and these are perfect!

The Splash Disc is another toy that stood out to Kaelyn right away. She loves to play frisbee and liked that this resembled that. It made it even better that it was essentially a frisbee she could play with in the water!

The Splash Disc is also recommended for ages 4+, however Kaden really loves it too. I wasn't sure how long the kids would enjoy playing with this, but it has proven to be quite entertaining. Kaelyn especially loves dunking it in the pool and then seeing how far she can fling it. We love to play catch with it too! It's helping her work on her throwing and catching, while having fun at the same time.

I appreciate that this product is soft and safe, so we don't have to worry about anyone getting hurt when it is thrown. We've been really pleased with the quality and know we'll be able to play with this for many summers to come.

Kaelyn was really excited when she saw the Splash Golf from Prime Time Toys. Golf is something she enjoys watching and doing with Daddy, so seeing that she had a club and balls that she could play with on her own in the water, made this toy pretty special!

This product is recommended for children ages 6+ years. Due to the hand and eye coordination it requires, I would have to agree. However, Kaelyn has still really enjoyed hitting the water soaked balls with the club and trying to get them into the target that it comes with.

The balls are once again soft and safe so we never have to worry about anyone getting hurt. They're just lots of fun! The splash golf club is extendable which makes it perfect for kids of all ages. Kaelyn can use the club comfortably and it's nice to know it will grow with her. This has been a really fun outdoor and pool toy, and something I know we'll be playing with a lot more as the months go on.

We really love all three products we received from Prime Time Toys. Not only is the quality great, but they are perfect for outdoor and pool time fun! They have provided a lot of fun for the kids already, and I know will be played with everytime we're in the water this summer. I will definitely be looking into getting the kids other great summer toys from Prime Time Toys in the future.
