Our family enjoys quite a few Disney Channel television shows. Kaelyn has a few actors and actresses who she especially likes...including Ashley Tisdale. That's why I knew she'd be excited to learn that that Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment was releasing Sharpay's Fabulous Adventure, an all-new movie on Blu-ray and DVD staring the one and only, Ashley Tisdale.

Just how fabulous do you have to be to make it big in the Big Apple? One aspiring diva is about to find out...the hard way! Ashley Tisdale shines in this totally captivating comedy. After a talent scout spots her perfomring with he dog Boi at a charity gala, Sharpay Evans (Tisdale) sets off for the bright lights of NYC, convinced instant fame and fortune are in the bag. But theatre's a dog-eat-dog world, as she and Boi discover when they encounter the devious owner of a pampered pooch named Countess and a scheming Broadway starlet who will do anything to crush the competition. Fortunately, Sharpay also meets Peyton (Austin Butler), a handsome student filmmaker who finds Sharpay nearly as fascinating ashe finds herself.
When the 2-Disc Blu-ray Combo Pack arrived, Kaelyn caught sight of it right away. She was eager to watch it...and honestly, so was I!
I was pleasantly surprised with how well the whole family enjoyed Sharpay's Fabulous Adventure. Kaelyn especially enjoyed Sharpay's lavishly glittery pink outfits and all of her pink accessories. The tunes are fun and catchy (the kind my kids love to dance to), and the storyline of a girl pursuing her life-long dreams and believing in herself...is one that kept us fully entertained and laughing throughout.
From the very beginning Sharpay has ups and downs in the Big Apple and at times, nothing seems to be going her way. This is what kept us interested though, wondering what might happen next. Familiar faces like Austin Buttler from Zoey 101 and Life Unexpected and Bradley Steven Perry from Good Luck Charlie was also a fun part of the movie.

- The Evolution of Sharpay (on Blu-ray only) - Ahsley Tisdale traces the development of her bigger-than-life character from the High School Musical movies through her current movie.
