Remington Wet 2 Straight 2" Flat Iron Review & Giveaway

Although I'm home most days, I still like to get fixed up some. As a busy mom of 2 though, I am always on the go and finding time to do this is difficult. Especially when it comes to my hair! Having naturally wavy hair means a little more time goes into fixing it each day. That's why I'm always on the lookout for products that make my morning routine easier. Thankfully, Remington offers a great line of products to make getting ready each day easier and faster than ever!

I am a huge fan of Remington products and couldn't have been happier to learn we were going to have the chance to review another of their great products, one that would hopefully make fixing my hair each day easier and faster.

When the Wet 2 Straight Flat Iron arrived, I was really looking forward to trying it out.

Pulling it out of the package, I was happy to see that it's very user-friendly. There are buttons along the side... the power button, the wet/dry button and the +/- button to select the right setting for your personal hair type. In using it, I was worried the placement of the buttons along the side of the handle would get in the way, but this has not been a problem at all for me.

Getting it ready to use couldn't be easier! Once it's plugged in and turned on, I simply put it on dry or wet (depending on how I'm using it) and use the +/- button to find the heat setting that's right for my hair. Once I have it where I need it to be, the light flashes until it's fully heated. I know it's ready to use when the 'ready' beep goes off.

I was happy that I took the time to read the instructions, as there is an easy to follow grid that shows which setting to use it on for certain types of hair (fine, normal, thick) when it's dry, damp or wet. I have very fine hair, but a lot of it. I found the 'fine' setting to be best for when my hair is dry, damp or wet. It's just enough to do the job without damaging my hair. For anyone looking to buy this straightener, I would definitely recommend finding the correct setting for your hair type to prevent hair damage. I usually use it on damp, as my hair dries pretty quickly...so by the time I'm dressed and ready to do my hair, it's partially dry already.

I first used it on towel dried hair and was amazed with the results. Taking my hair a section at a time, I slowly ran the hair straightener down my hair and found that it dried and straightened quickly. There were some sections I had to go over twice to get it dry, but overall...it is a very fast process! The unique steam vent seems to safely dry and straighten my hair in just one step. The results are great! It leaves me with straight, smooth and shiny hair. I couldn't believe how straight it got my hair! Stick straight! I expected some frizz, but have had no problem with that at all. On top of that, the straight look seems to last throughout the day which is nice too. My hair still seems healthy and soft with no damage at all.

I have also used this straightener on dry hair. As with the wet setting, it does a great job at straightening my dry hair and leaves it smooth and soft. I don't have a lot of hair, so getting it all straight takes no time at all.

I like both settings, as they're easy to use and make straightening my hair super quick. The wet setting is great for days that I need to save time getting ready and cuts out blow drying all together. It basically steam dries the hair by extracting moisture through the vents and straightens at the same time. I absolutely love it! The results are amazing and the flat iron itself couldn't be easier to use.
One feature I love is the fact that the chord is such a nice length. I have used hair tools in the past that have short chords that always end up getting pulled out of the outlet. Between the nice length and swivel chord, it gives me the freedom to move and do what I need to do.

Overall I've been extremely pleased with the Wet 2 Straight 2" Flat iron! I did not expect for it to work this well straightening wet hair and dry hair and have been very happy with the results. The tourmaline technology and ceramic heated plates seem to provide high, even heat that help to eliminate frizz and leaves my hair super straight and feeling so soft and smooth.
