Mega Bloks Domino Build Game Review & Giveaway

As I think about my childhood, I have so many great memories of the times we spent together as a family. Whether it was eating dinner together, taking fun vacations, or even a family movie or game night...these are the types of things I remember and those I want to be sure and do with my own kids. That's why I am always looking for fun things we can do together and was excited to learn about a new game from MEGA Brands.

Great for children ages 3-6 years, this fun game encourages children to learn all about colors, numbers, matching, motor skills, and more.

At the age of 3, Kaelyn has begun to show an interest in playing games and enjoys learning as she goes. I had a feeling the new Mega Bloks Domino Build Game would be a big hit, and I was right! The moment she laid eyes on the colorful box and fun blocks and pieces, she was begging me to play with her.


Of course, I couldn't say no! I was just as curious to see all that this game entailed, not to mention being able to spend quality time with my little girl. As I pulled the pieces out of the box, I appreciated the fact that there was very little set up. We simply got the cards in a pile and the blocks in another pile. At that point, we were ready to choose our animal - a giraffe, polar bear, lion or elephant - and begin.

Unlike some of the games meant for Kaelyn's age that we've played in the past, this was one she caught onto very quickly. The rules are simple.... take turns trying to mach one of your cards to those that are already in place (by color or animal). If you are able to make a match, you can take a block and build your zoo animal. Once you have your animal built, you win! It's a great way to encourage color recognition, matching, animal recognition, hand-eye-coordination, and more!

I have been amazed what a hit this game has been, not only for Kaelyn... but it's also something my husband and I enjoy as well. It's neat to see Kaelyn learning while having fun! She has been asking to play the Mega Bloks Domino Build Game daily, and has even enjoyed simply building with the blocks with her brother.

Once we're finished, I love that all the pieces can easily be placed right back in the box for safe storage. With as many toys as we have around our house...having a way to keep everything organized and easy to find is always appreciated.

If you're looking for a fun, age-appropriate, and educational game for your child, the Mega Bloks Domino Build Game from MEGA Brands is definitely one I'd recommend. It's a fantastic way to help children develop important skills and have fun while playing and manipulating the pieces. I already have a number of nieces and nephews that I plan to purchase this for and know they will love it just as much as Kaelyn has. I look forward to the day that Kaden is old enough to play along with us.
