Checking Our List Finale: Britax B-SCENE Stroller Review & Giveaway

When we first became parents, I remember my husband and I feeling overwhelmed with all the baby products available. Unsure of what we'd really need, we ended up registering for almost every baby item you can think of. Needless to say, we had some things we hardly used. Now, after having had two babies, we've learned there are many products out there...some used more than others and a few that I wouldn't want to live without.

When friends and family who are new parents ask me what those must-have items are, a stroller is one of the first things I mention. And, although there are a lot of strollers out there...there are some that stand out from the rest, offering the quality and safety parents are looking for and the convenience and features every busy parent needs. It's strollers like those from Britax that are designed especially with parent and child in mind.

As I browsed through their great selection of products I was instantly drawn to their stylish strollers and was excited to learn we were going to have the opportunity to review one.

Britax sent us their new B-SCENE Stroller to review.

When the Britax B-SCENE Stroller arrived I was excited to check it out.

As I pulled all the pieces out of the box I was amazed with how little assembly was required. I always appreciate when companies have the busy mom in mind and couldn't have been happier to find just a few pieces that needed to be put together. With no screws or tools, I was able to slide on the seat, wheels and canopy in just over a minute. With clear instructions and such a user-friendly assembly process, it was put together and ready to use in no time.

Of course I couldn't help but stand back in amazement at how stylish and beautiful it is once everything was put together. Just look at this!

When it comes to strollers, I need something that is made to last. Thankfully, the B-SCENE does not disappoint. I could tell right away that the quality is top of the line and something that will last us a very long time. The frame is very sturdy and the fabrics are durable and easy to clean.

With talk of having another baby at some point, I appreciate knowing that this will last us. Not only that, but that it will accommodate children of all ages so we'll be able to use it with all of our kids for a long time. By using either the Britax Infant Car Seat Adapters (which are only compatible with Britax infant car seats) or the Infant Car Seat Adapter Kit (for use with select infant car seats from other major manufacturers)...the B-SCENE can be used with newborns all the way up to 55 lbs.


Safety is of the utmost importance when it comes to any product I use with my kids, so this is obviously one of the first things I look at. I immediately noticed the 5-point harness and head pad which I really appreciated.

The harness and head pad are actually different than any others I've come across, and very convenient for parents. They're adjustable, but instead of having to thread them through (which can be a hassle), there is a no re-thread feature which I love! By simply squeezing together two buttons found on the back of the stroller (behind the zipper) parents can move it up and down which then moves the headrest and adjusts the harness perfect to your child's height. It couldn't be easier and is a feature I wish all strollers had (you can see it in action in the video I made below).

When we're out and about Kaden is usually in the stroller more than Kaelyn. He often takes a nap, especially when we're shopping for long periods of time...so the fact that there's a 3 position recline is great!

The seat is also reversible which is especially nice for a younger baby. I like to check on Kaden when he's napping in the stroller, and being able to turn the seat around or peek through the handy ventilation window are two great ways I can do that.

Having such a large canopy is also great for napping, and the sun visor will be really nice this summer. It pulls forward easily when needed.


Another feature I really appreciate is the one-step, linked parking brake with indicator. Many strollers have a bar to push down with your foot, which can often be difficult to do (at least for me it is). On the Britax B-SCENE, there is a small black lever which easily pushes down with a gentle push of your foot. There's a neat indicator which shows red when the brake is locked and green when it's not.

Not only are the child's needs taken care of with the B-SCENE, but parents have been taken into consideration as well. There is a large storage basket under the seat which is a must! This time of year we have our coats with us, and always have a diaper bag so having enough storage to hold it all is great!

The handle height is also adjustable. With my husband being 6'3" and me at 5'3" it's nice when a stroller can be adjusted so we can each push it comfortably. This is probably one of his favorite features. It's very easy to push around too.

I did find myself wishing there was a cup holder for parents, as well as for the kids...but was happy to see that there are Child Cup Holders available for purchase. These would be perfect for drinks and/or snacks.

After checking out all the features, there was only one question left to answer. How easy was the B-SCENE stroller to open and fold. Thankfully, the answer is VERY easy! By simply lifting the chassis lock lever (which automatically locks when folded down), opening the frame and pulling up on the handle until it locks...the stroller opens. Folding it is just as simple. By pulling up both frame release levers on each side of the stroller handle and pushing the stroller handle down...it closes. In seconds I can open it and fold it down which is much appreciated, especially when I'm out with the kids by myself.

As you can see, it folds down to a nice compact size. It easily fits in the back of our SUV.

Overall we've been very impressed with the B-SCENE stroller. It's innovative design, stylish look, high quality and convenient features all make it a great one to consider if you're in search for a new single stroller. I love knowing that it's safe for my kids and that they are both very comfortable while riding in it. Britax has definitely considered both parent and baby when creating this great stroller.
