Wisk Lab Experiment ~ Morning Routine & Oil Stains

Posted by Jenna | Thursday, November 11, 2010

With a family of four I find I am doing laundry all the time. I face stains of all kinds, and up until a couple of months ago, I was still questioning the best way to get them out. Thanks to Wisk, I have found the answer!
Over the past few months I have been sharing with you about Wisk and how they're reinventing the way we all look at stains. The powerful Stain Spectrum Technology formula helps tackle a full range of stains, including:

Carbohydrates - like chocolate milk, ketchup, BBQ Sauce, etc
Proteins - Grass, Eggs, Baby Formula
Oils - Peanut Butter, Ranch Dressing, Olive Oil

I have to admit I was a bit skeptical in the beginning. Could one laundry detergent help with all of these stains? Even Oils? As time goes on I have been more than convinced that it can!

I have had the opportunity to test and see firsthand how Wisk with Stain Spectrum Technology fights protein stains like grass stains and carbohydrate stains like ketchup (which is truly amazing!). But, my question as to whether it could really work on oil stains remained. I mean really, oil stains can be tough! They come in all shapes and sizes....everything from peanut butter, salad dressing, to even your favorite lip gloss. It's something we all probably deal with on a daily basis which is why I was excited to learn that our final Wisk lab would be an oil stains experiment!

I was sent a Morning Routine package with the tools necessary to see just how well Wisk Laundry Detergent fights oil stains involving lip gloss. The package included:
  • Hand towel
  • Compact mirror
  • Toiletry bag
  • Lip gloss
  • Wisk Laundry Detergent
This lab was a bit different because it was about encouraging me to take some 'me-time'. The following were the instructions and experiment....

1. Use the compact mirror to help delicately apply the lip gloss.

2. After applying the lip gloss, pucker up and blot the excess with the towel.

3. Pre-treat the stain with Wisk, covering the entire kiss mark.

4. Scrub/rub the stain for 15-30 seconds.

5. Rinse the stain under warm water until there are no more suds visible.

6. Share Results - a clean, white hand towel with NO stain!

As you can see, the experiment went amazingly well. I was surprised to see the stain already disappearing just while scrubbing/rubbing it (without water). Once I rinsed it, I still thought it would take much longer but literally within seconds, the stain was gone! The towel washed up beautifully and there was not even a trace of lip gloss left behind.

Wisk continues to impress me, and has convinced me that they know stains so I don't have to! Gone are the days when I have to question how to get out a stain...I know I can just turn to Wisk and find the answer. Being able to actually use the laundry detergent in these experiments and see actual stains disappear right before my eyes has been amazing and made me realize that Wisk is definitely our new laundry detergent of choice!

For the past month we have been purchasing Wisk to use with all of our laundry and have continued to be impressed with the results. I am very thankful to have had this opportunity to get to know the Wisk product even better and to be able to share our findings with all of you.
