My Little Girl is 3 Years Old!

Today is Kaelyn's 3rd birthday...where has the time gone?!? As we celebrated with family over the weekend, I couldn't help but look at my little girl and think about how quickly the last few years have gone. I remember bringing her home from the hospital like it was yesterday, and now she's 3 years old already!! I'm sure this is something that goes through every parent's mind as their children continue to get older...and I have a feeling that same question, 'where has the time gone?' will be one I ask every single year!

The fact that she is now 3 years old is a little bittersweet for me. I enjoy seeing her grow and learn new things, but at the same time wish she could stay this age forever. :) It's a little sad to see her getting so big so fast, but I also know that each stage offers new and exciting things. I feel incredibly blessed to be her mom...I couldn't ask for a sweeter little girl.

As I mentioned, we were able to celebrate with family this weekend, and Kaelyn had a wonderful time! Saturday and Sunday were both fun filled days full of visiting, cupcakes, cake, gifts...and of course, trick or treating!

Kaden was a very sleepy little lion...he slept through trick or treating :)
It was a very special weekend for Kaelyn and I couldn't be happier about that.

Each time her birthday rolls around (and other times throughout the year), I get to reminiscing about our little girl and how much she's grown and look through pictures we've taken over the years. These are just a few I thought I'd share....

What great pictures! Isn't amazing how fast the time goes?

her 4 day old picture is beautiful... I have never seen a newborn with such alert eyes and perfect skin tone (usually they look scrunched up and blotchy).
