Filtrete Water Pitcher Blog Tour

I have never been a big fan of tap water because of the taste. In my opinion, water should not have a taste, and if it does, chances are it's probably not good. That's why I turned to bottled water. Overtime though, I've found this to be a very expensive decision, and one that is obviously not the most eco-friendly. That's why I was excited to learn that I was going to have the opportunity to review the new Filtrete Water Pitcher from 3M as part of a Mom Central Blog Tour.

When the pitcher arrived I was immediately impressed with it's sleek design. It's appealing and best of all, is made to save space in our already over-crowded refrigerator!! With it being such a nice size it easily fits in the door of the fridge which is fantastic! I was very surprised with how much water it holds. This means I'm not having to constantly refill it and is something I really appreciate.

I also found that it couldn't be easier to use! To begin I held the filter under water for approximately 1-2 minutes (to rinse one gallon of water through it).

I then activated the filter by pushing down firmly on the center. I knew it was activated once it started to fill in.

Once the filter was ready and I had washed the pitcher, I was ready to fill it with water. I read that it filtered water 5 times faster than traditional pitcher filters, but wow! I have never seen a pitcher filter water this fast!! I was planning to take a picture of it as it filled up with water, but it filled so quickly I didn't have time to set it down and grab the camera to snap a shot. The fact that we can have filtered water in just seconds thanks to the fast flow filter is much appreciated! Finding ways to save time is great as I'm sure many parents would agree.

The filter is made to last two and half times longer than traditional pitcher filters (about three months). We have not had the pitcher that long yet, but I'm thrilled to know that we will not have to replace it for quite some time still.

Of course, the design and the filter are great...but the real test was to actually taste the water. My family and I both have concluded that we love it! The water is so clean and fresh...it doesn't 'taste' which is what I look for when using a water pitcher like this. I am very impressed and am happy to have had the opportunity to test out the Filtrete Water Pitcher. It's convenient, and best of all is a better choice for my family as well as the environment.
